SPEAKER PELOSI TIME TO EMPANEL THAT SPECIAL PANEL TO INVESTIGATE THE JANUARY 6 INSURRECTION - NOW!

Now that the Repuglycons have done what they predicted they would do, and blocked the bi-partisan investigation of T-rump's instigation into the Assault on the Capitol, House Democrats can now mount a probe of their own into the January 6 US Capitol attack.  

YAAAAAY!!!!

I, for one, was so sick of hearing the lies and watching the machinations of the Repuglycons - all the threats, all the innuendos of what they would do if a panel was formed.  I was tired of folks trying to be "bi-partisan" with a group of turncoats who have already proven that there isn't a bi-partisan bone in their body.   In the interest of national security, integrity, and equality, it's imperative that the investigation of the January 6 T-rump instigated assault on the Nation's Capitol be held, without equivocation,  compromise, threats, cover ups, or the kind of kid gloves that would almost assuredly be prevalent in an ersatz "bi-partisan" tribunal. 

Ideally, in the pre-T-rump America, bi-partisan would have been the best way.  There would have been a show of unity and solidarity if both sides of the aisle had come together to root out the enemy.  However, since one half of the senate is sleeping with the enemy, getting paid to cooperate with insanity, too many of the original powers of the panel had been negotiated away - i.e. taken off the table - because it would offend/convict the original perpetrator, who obviously has their balls in his back pocket. 

It is admirable that the Dems won't let the issue go away - but now is not the time to continue to beg and cajole - They've shown you what they're about - trickery, lies, racism, deceit.  Time to get your backbone straight Dems; time to fulfill what the people elected you for.  To take it over and make it right - despite the bull shit threats of so called retaliation.

MSNBC ran a documentary on the seige of the Capitol, culled from cameras, cell phones, and surveillance equipment that captured - step by step - the entire sequence of events from the incendiary speech of the former ersatz president, through the charge to go down to the White House - through the seige itself - step by step phase by phase.  Documenting that it was not peaceful, it was no vacation, it was no tour - which is the line of lies the repuglycons have consistently tried to convince the world it is - but a life threatening invasion of America by traitors  that had been in formation for months - probably underwritten by T-rump dollars - to fulfill a threat he made years before where he said that even if he lost the election, he was not going to leave.  He has made this threat subtly over and over and over - so why it was ignored is beyond me. 

My issue, however, is this:  Why is the meanstream media trying to couch the vote against the investigative panel as a defeat for the Democrats? Quite the contrary! The repuglycons have literally shot themselves in the foot.  The Dems now have the power and all the marbles in their hands.  Nancy Pelosi can now appoint a select committee.  They now can send the FBI out into the farthest reaches to get the culprits and bring them to trial.  They can now subpoena people, no matter who they're related to, or what their party affiliation, and have them testify.  If the Dems are concerned about the panel being perceived as a Democratic dominated panel - tough noogies!  Accept it and get the job done.  Besides, you knew the job was dangerous when you took it.  I think the repuglycons secretly want the select panel to happen.  They want this stain gone as much as the rest of us; but they also want to continue receiving under the table money from T-Rump.  If it was really about it not being bi-partisan,  they should have stayed involved and voted to make the panel happen.  

If repuglycons think this panel will cause them to win in the midterms - not gonna happen.  See, Americans aren't that stupid anymore.  The revelations  coming from the witnesses are going to be pretty damaging to the Repuglycons and the former predator in chief.   No one wants more of the same. America is not going to sit on the sidelines this time and allow the repuglycons use every lie in the book to subvert and block out votes.   And this time we have changed - we are a more intelligent,  politically active voting America - despite the contrary efforts to quash and discourage and legislate us out of doing so. While they are pushing through to try to establish a dictatorship a la T-rump; we're pushing back just as hard to maintain our freedom and our voting rights.  We will show up for every opportunity to vote - from dog catcher, to school board, to state and local offices to Judges, Congress, Senate, and whatever else happens to "pop up" that requires a vote. 

In fact, this would be the perfect time for President Biden to issue an executive order re-establishing and expanding our voting rights - so we can focus on more important things.  While we are still signing petitions for the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, President Biden can make it happen via Executive Order and free our time and attention up to other issues that need to be dealt with.

The so-called Senate Republicans derailing, as enunciated by the meanstream media (CNN, MSNBC, etc), is nothing more than the unique, carte blanche opportunity for the Democrats to take the bull by the horns for real, and create the outside commission, probe the deadly insurrection, and probe those other major deliberate gaffs that have occurred over the past four years leading up to this debacle.

To Speaker Nancy Pelosi:  Please move immediately on creating that select committee, not as a fallback option, but as a high priority!!  We are the majority - so let's act like it and make it happen, immediately, if not sooner!  Make it your next move - immediately, if not sooner!!!   What more do you need to make it happen?  According to Texas Democrat, Rep. Joaquin Castro,  who was impeachment manager in President Donald Trump's second trial, the Senate could and should pass a bill creating the outside commission.

ALLOW ME TO REITERATE FOR THOSE WHO DID NOT GRASP THE FOREGOING:  If the House creates such a panel, it would give Democrats the power to issue subpoenas and schedule hearings and to drive an investigation into the causes of the attack and Trump's role behind it.   The repuglycons are threatening a backlash, but who the eff cares?  What have we been dealing with from them for the past 10 years? Their racist backlash began when Obama was elected president.  And all they've done is gotten worse, to the point that now we have a megalomaniacal fool running around the country, with his "psycho-phants" creating bogus vote recounts, passing repressive voter laws, and thumbing their noses at the honest voters - trying to punish them for having a mind of their own, and exercising their rights.  Let them try to paint the upcoming panel as partisan - and I say upcoming because I know that it's gonna happen, because Nancy Pelosi is not intimidated by any of their threats.  Just remind them of the fact that they brought it on themselves by not agreeing to establish a bipartisan outside panel composed of 10 commissioners, equally divided between the two parties - in bad faith, because the Dems actually conceded to every one of their demands - had the commission they agreed to after all the compromises been empaneled, it would have had no power anyway.  Much like the impeachment trials that were held for T-rump - where McConnell already said that they were going through the motions, but were not going to recall the miscreant in chief.

Of course House Minority leader, Kevin McCarthy doesn't want to see the select committee established: "I don't think a select committee is the proper way to go,"  He called it a "Pelosi select committee."

Pelosi, (D-California) was in favor of a bipartisan outside commission, but is also aware of the need for a select committee as an option. According to meanstream media, doing so might create a turf war with existing House committee chairs; but Democratic lawmakers on Friday downplayed that likelihood, given the desire among their caucus to mount a sprawling investigation into what happened.

In a statement on Friday, May 27, Pelosi stated: "Honoring our responsibility to the Congress. in which we serve and the Country, which we love, Democrats will proceed to find the truth."

According to CNN: "Republicans on Friday said they recognized this was a likely next step. Senate Republicans who opposed the commission said that if Pelosi goes that route, it would be easier to contend that such a probe would be geared at helping Democrats in the 2022 midterm elections.  Yet other Republicans said they were perplexed that their colleagues wouldn't endorse a bipartisan commission, arguing their party is ceding control to Democrats, who are almost certain to mount a headline-generating probe into everything that happened on January 6.

"Without this commission, there will still be an investigation," said Sen. Bill Cassidy, a Louisiana Republican who voted with five other Senate Republicans to bring the measure forward for debate. "But it will be a House-select committee set up by Speaker Pelosi -- the nature of which will be dictated by Democrats and would stretch on for years." (ACTUALLY,  IT SHOULD NOT AND MUST NOT DRAG ON FOR YEARS - IT'S AS OBVIOUS AS CHAUVIN'S FOOT ON GEORGE FLOYD'S NECK WHO THE GUILTY PERSON IS IN TERMS OF FOMENTING THE RIOTS, AND THE GUILTY PERSONS ARE FOR BREACHING THE WHITE HOUSE - IT REALLY SHOULD TAKE LESS THAN 6 MONTHS TO CULL THROUGH WHAT IS OBVIOUS AND ON CAMERA - SO THE BUREAUCRATIC BISHWA THAT PLAGUES SO MANY OTHER THINGS MUST BE DISPENSED WITH - I.E., CUT TO THE CHASE - LET'S GET THE PERPETRATORS BEFORE THEY AND WE ARE TOO OLD TO REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED - OR AS DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR SAID: JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED!!).

In the Senate, two separate committees -- the Rules Committee and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee -- are conducting probes about the lack of security preparedness on January 6 and will issue a report the week of June 7. But those investigations are narrowly focused on the response effort that day, rather than the causes behind the insurrection.

On Friday, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer would not say if he believes his committee chairmen should mount their own investigation into the attack. (INTERESTING - CHUCK IS A NEW YORKER, BUT HE MOVES LIKE SOMEONE FROM THE SOUTH - NOT A GOOD LOOK - WAKE UP CHUCK THIS IS 2021 WE WON!!! MOVE LIKE YOU KNOW A NEW YORK MINUTE STILL EXISTS.  SO GLAD WE HAVE TISH JAMES AND CYRUS VANCE LEADING THE CHARGE). But the New York Democrat made clear that he thinks the House should move ahead.

"We preferred to do it bipartisan," Schumer said. "Every Democrat voted for bipartisan, but facts must come out," he said when asked whether the findings from a Democrat-led committee would be credible.

Last word:  For those who have not seen the documentary on MSNBC on the Siege; or for those who just prefer to be manipulated by the meanstream media, FAUX News, repuglycon cover ups, or blowhard ersatz presidents - WTFU!!   "You been took, you been had, you been hoodwinked! (Malcolm X)."  On JANUARY 6, 2021 there was a move to overthrow the government of the United States of America, started by the defeated megalomaniacal former president of the US; and thousands of his dissidents who had been training for at least a year, had maps to the entire Capitol, and encouraged - whipped into a frenzy  - by the defeated outgoing ersatz president of the US.  THE WHOLE WORLD SAW IT.  Just like they saw Chauvin's foot on George Floyd's neck.  WHO ARE YOU GOING TO BELIEVE - THE LIES OR YOUR EYES???

IF THE REPUGLYCONS (REPUBLICANS) NEVER EVER VOTE IN ANY COOPERATIVE BI-PARTISAN MANNER WITH THE DEMOCRATS, DEMS STILL HAVE AN OBLIGATION TO PROCEED TO TAKE CARE OF THE PEOPLE AND THE PEOPLE'S BUSINESS AND LIVE UP TO THE OATH THEY TOOK WHEN THEY FIRST ENTERED OFFICE, REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY REPUGLYCONS GET BENT OUT OF SHAPE.

HABARI GANI - TODAY IS THE 4TH DAY OF KWANZAA - UJAMAA, WHICH MEANS COLLECTIVE ECONOMICS - It s derived from the Swahili word, "JAMAA" which means family.  So this message is dedicated to my FAMILY OF BROTHERS AND SISTERS: 

We are on the eve of the New Years - 2018!  And the spin doctors and propaganda machines are working overtime.  I just saw a post on FB with US Senator Claire McCaskill read the riot act to the repuglycons about the bogus tax bill that they shoved through, that is going to decimate most Americans, while lining the pockets of many of T-rump's cronies.  

   Truth be told, I've seen more CNN in this short time that I'm staying with a friend, while I'm home hunting, than I've seen since their inception. And I've got a few things to say in regards to this overdose of WFL (white folks lies).  To wake up in the morning to this and to hear it as the last thing you view at night is definitely not good for you.  You are not being informed, you are being programmed.  Truth be told to wake up and hear T-rump's name before I brush my teeth, or take a shower or go to the toilet, turns my stomach and sets me in a very negative mood.  And I am conscious of the crap.  Can you imagine what it's doing to the rest of us who are not aware, who have no filter, who think we are being informed.  I've heard people regurgitate ad nauseum things the ersatz news commentators have said, or what T-rump has said or done - and I've also seen people at each other's throats; I've seen the rudeness that has started to proliferate among people; I've seen the lack of respect we now evidence for one another, and can't help but think that there is  subconscious influence that s beginning to be prevalent among us.  

T-rump has said that the media will make it possible for him to be re-elected in 2020 - and he has every right to expect them to do so, since they gave him pass in 2016.  

So for all you T-rump junkies, who just cannot get enough of watching this epitome of evil and racism on TV; who wake up in the morning to his crap on CNN (the continuously negative news) and go to bed at night with the same; who think that you are being objective when you shake your head and comment on his crap in phony horror, while actually being subconsciously sucked in, it's time to make a serious resolution - quit cold turkey just sitting idly by being propagandized by bogus objectivity an start making a list of all the things that we need to do individually and collectively to block his crap - from mid term elections to sanctioning the news shows that give you more and more t-rump crap ad nauseum without intelligent analysis.

Despite the comments and opinions from my militant brothers and sisters, we still live here - and thus far I see no mass exodus either back to Africa, or to some other land that may or may not be more accommodative or respectful of our rights. So it looks like we're going to still be here for a good long time (of course unless a new 21st century Marcus Garvey comes forth and galvanizes us to bust a move out of this situation (I HOPE). This is our country - we built this along with the main stream who claim that they did it all by themselves - so we've got a lot to do to make sure they don't continue to try to legitimize edging us.  

That said, and dealing with the fact that every once in a while we're allowed to screw up as a nation, and the T-rump election replete with the vote tampering and the collusion with Russia, that put this cretin in the white house to begin with, we may have been out maneuvered, but it does not mean that we have to continue to stay that way. This may go down as the biggest screw up in American modern history. But now that we've made the mistake and recognized it - it's time to deal with it.  

STOP THE MADNESS!!!

If you had a boil on your behind, would you continue to allow it to cause you pain and discomfort?

Would you continue to cover it up with ointments, and only to find out that it only gets worse and actually spreads and brings more boils? No!! 

Well T-Rump is the boil on America's behind - and the rest of his administration are the cumulative boils that have gathered since he's been in office. Time to lance the boils and get rid of the pain. Not only must you vote, but you must make sure the media understands that you are not going to sit idly by as the talking heads pretend to do political analysis, while simultaneously giving T-rump free publicity . Mueller s being vilified while Kenneth Starr, who persecuted Bill Clnton during his entire administration did not receive the kinds of skids - in fact the Repuglycons continued to give him more and more funds to persecute Clinton; and Starr was extra vicious, and very public in his accusations and investigations. Perhaps this is what T-rump fears, that Mueller will likewise begin to give him the same treatment (which would be well deserved) that the repuglycons did to Clinton.

Whatever - my main concern here is that we stop being T-rump junkies. We have to immunize ourselves to his crap, and begin to develop the ant-T-rump antidote to heal us of this once and for all, physically, economically, spiritually, mentally and politically. It's time to heal America, and make it RESPECTED AGAIN.

Let's go into 2018 with a clear heads and clear consciouses as to what we need to do as a people. Demand that he leave the Mueller investigation alone; make a list of things we must do to not have this ersatz president wreck the US any further, and stop being hypnotized by the continuous diatribe that comes from the so- called news. It's not so much that it's "fake news" - with the exception of Fox News - but that it's the same thing over and over ad nauseum, with no definitive change - no one needs the news to come on at 4:00 AM - and No one needs the hypnotic over dose of crap - especially as to the ersatz president - if what it ultimately does is undermine the fabric of the well being of the country. We need to demand of our so-called Black stations - including TV ONE, BET, BOUNCE, OWN, and ASPIRE that we have BLACK NEWS THAT GIVE THE TRUTH FROM BLACK VIEWS, which means reinstating NEWS ONE with Roland Martin, or offering him a contract to be on not of the other media. We need the truth from out own filter, not the watered down white washed version. And even with that, at the beginning and end of your day, watch or listen to something fun, or loving, or spiritual, or uplifting so that your mind can be reprogrammed to one of optimism and creativity, as opposed to gloom, doom negativity and hostility. You have to do this deliberately and consciously - don't be too tired or lazy - make it your mission to see what you can come up with, and then share it so that we can all develop a can do/yes we can/get it done - done it mindset.

When T-Rump tells you something that he's not going to do, you can pretty much assume that the exact opposite is true. Also recognize that nothing he does means us any good - to be forewarned is to be fore armed. And we need to learn to be proactive, and not reactionary. We know there is an issue about our identification and voter registration, and they are doing everything they can to push us off the voting rolls; so start getting your IDs and your registration together now. WE know that they are trying to push us off of medicare/medicaid/social security - so let' ramp up now to protect it locally while or legislators are trying to rectify it nationally. We know that that there are several elections leading up to the 2018 Mid-term Primary, so we have to make sure we know who the candidates are and be prepared to back them sold lay (Democrats of course), just as Alabama did during the Moore v Jones election. The idea is to come out victorious no matter what this turkey does.   

We have to give T-Rump credit for being the catalyst for our coming together, dropping our differences, and realizing that we have a common enemy that is greater than any perceived difference we may have thought we had. We also have to recognize that everytime we invoke his name, either positively or negatively, we make this miscreant more powerful - because his ego is fed not by how much you like or dislike him, but how many times you mention him - he is just that warped. I think you could call him the worst possible of all things, and he'd be pleased because he was still number one on some level. You are dealing witha person with no consciousness and no compunction about walking over you - and that includes those who are closest to him (look at Melana, Ivana, and Eric) to get what he wants. In fact, the more you complain, the happier he is - which, by the way, is typical of most racists. The more you try to get them to be "reasonable" or recognize your humanity, or deal with the harm he may be causing, the more he feels empowered to see you grovel and beg. They only recognize and concede to power - and that's what we've been taught all along, "power concedes to nothing but power! It never has and it never will." So we have to consolidate our power and make it pay for us.

It's not rocket science - we are no longer bamboozled; we know the deal, we've been through this oh so many times. We have been the ten times smarter, more skilled, more intelligent ones who had to anticipate their every move ahead of time in order to survive 400 years of slavery and jim crow and KKK and racsm, and separate but equal - among other things- ff we hadn'twe wouldn't be here today. So don't act like we don't have the capacity to do it again. As Jerry Butler said, "Only the Strong Survive," and that''s us. So Kick the T-rump junkie habit, delouse yourselves, and begin to blaze a new path out of the crud and the mud that the US has become under this misguided miscreant, and continue to rise like the Phoenixes we are!!! We've got a lot to do in 2018, and we might as well get it started right now.

So to all of us, we not only have to stop being T-rump junkies, we have to stay woke - we have to stay active, and stay registered to vote; stay unified and

Agent Provacateurs Try To Destabilize and Topple Zimbabwe and President Robert Mugabe - Wake Up Africa - Time to Band Together!!!

Hello All:

When I'm not reading my own Blog, or dealing with issues in our community, this is one of my favorite go-to Blogs for information on what's happening in our MotherLand - because we have remember that Africa is still under siege as well.  In fact, Black people all over the world are under siege. 

And you will note that there is a common denominator involved in many of the problems and issues and distorted information we are being fed:  CNN - also known as the Continuously Negative News.  I frankly think they are synonymous to the CIA.  They are  a shill - pretend news, who are more involved in disinformation and distortion than real news.

But, rather than comment on the commentary, I will let you read it for yourself.  I will also go on record in saying that I stand for President Robert Mugabe, and with all the presidents throughout Africa had his Blackbone.    It's time that the OAAU began standing against this kind of ignominious behavior - Africa is either a power or a candidate for new enslavement.  The so called heads of state who are here in the US for the UN General Assembly need to be sitting down together and making some serious decisions about the way forward, or they  will find themselves the target of the Trans-Atlantic Slave trade of the 21st Century - and this time the only thing that will survive will be their lands and their mineral wealth.

It's no secret that Africa is being deliberately destabilized by ersatz tribal and internecine wars; Chinese strongholds, and undermining of governments.  

Do not allow them to destroy what Southern Africa has built, they way they did Egypt, Libya and Northern Africa!!! You should have learned enough  by now to know when you're being targeted.  Teach your people to stand together, and not be pushed into panic mob violence.  Trickery, lies and deceit are the ways in which they will take everything from you.  Time to move together or be picked off separately.  WTFU Africa!!!

No CNN aanpour, Zimbabwe Not At Tipping Point

CNN’s Chief International Correspondent Christiane Amanpour was sold a dummy, for Zimbabwe’s tipping point undCer the leadership of President Mugabe and his ruling Zanu-PF party is still way off, despite what they envision. Nevertheless, it is not game over yet. They are still working on the real game changer.After interviewing President Mugabe in New York, in September 2009, like most of them in the West, she probably believed that this was going to be the final session of the United Nations General Assembly he was attending.

She grilled him then, so it seemed, but when all was said and done, she still could not pin him down. A quick search of that September 24, 2009 interview will reveal how Amanpour fared against Africa’s last standing statesman.

An opinion piece by Rashweat Mukundu (programmes manager with the Media Institute of Southern Africa – Misa), and published by the newzimbabwe.com on September 25, 2009 says all in the headline: “How Amanpour lost to Mugabe.” One of the accompanying pictures from the Amanpour set reads, “Victory . . . Robert Mugabe”.

She badgered President Mugabe about the emotive sanctions issue: “What are you going to ask? Are you going to ask President Obama to lift sanctions that are imposed?”

At least she acknowledged that the US and its allies imposed illegal sanctions on Zimbabwe, but President Mugabe responded: “Not really. I haven’t come here for President Obama, to address the United States. I’ve come here to address the General Assembly, which is part of the United Nations’ structures. And, we are entitled to address matters that affect us in the global environment, and the matters that affect us in a particular way as Zimbabwe. And, this is what I’m going to do.” (edition.cnn.com)

Seven years on, Amanpour seems unrelenting as she and CNN want the Zimbabwean leader in particular to be a global conversation, especially at the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly, which is underway.

The major issues of contention: alleged “police brutality” during unsanctioned demonstrations, the state of the Zimbabwean economy and, the levelling of the electoral playing field for opposition parties.

And what better way to hit back again at the Zimbabwean leader than using the recent violent protests sponsored by some Western governments and their media.

For several days leading up to the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly, CNN devoted so much airtime on Zimbabwe, with the hope of creating an impression that Zimbabwe was burning and ungovernable, and that it was time the United Nations Security Council intervened.

This writer watched many of those reports in the build-up to UNGA71, including the one aired on September 16, where Amanpour was doing an analysis of the protests, in the same vein making insinuations that this was a final push by the new-look activists using social media, that would force Government out of power.

It was also surprising to hear David McKenzie, another CNN reporter who usually reports from South Africa making a preposterous claim that they had struggled to enter Zimbabwe to do their report.

They can fool some Zimbabweans, but not all. We are not so blinkered as to not have noted the presence of a CNN reporter at President Mugabe’s 92nd birthday celebrations at the Great Zimbabwe monument in Masvingo, and that she was also giving live feeds to their Atlanta, Georgia studios.

Had she also struggled to enter Zimbabwe just to report on birthday celebrations hosted by the 21st February Movement annually?

We were therefore not surprised when our sister paper the Sunday Mail, reported this week that “two British operatives known for engineering violent ‘protests’ in North and West Africa were dispatched to Harare in early September, with Western media, led by CNN following with sustained coverage of purported ‘police brutality’ and ‘human rights violations’.”

When you read and listen to their reportage between the lines, you see that they are people that get overly excited about gadgets they designed, and are now being used to deliver desired results.

The Internet, social media and all other ICT gizmos will not go away any time soon, but it is the original intent behind these inventions that matters. So to them, social media being used to try to overthrow democratically elected governments is a means to an end.

It was also hypocritical that of all networks, CNN tried to build such a case against Zimbabwe when it was public knowledge that the United Nations General Assembly was going to host a high-level summit meant to address “large movements of refugees and migrants, with the aim to of bringing countries together behind a more humane and coordinated approach” – the first such summit at Heads of State and Government level.

And, President Mugabe gave the Zimbabwe Government’s perspective just like he told Amanpour in 2009 that it was a platform where he would “address matters that affect us in the global environment, and the matters that affect us in a particular way as Zimbabwe. And, this is what I’m going to do.”

Maybe the United States Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Harry K. Thomas Jnr’s Facebook post on Monday (video clip on www.herald.co.zw), should cool down this over-zealous reportage, based on untruths and unverified intelligence information, despite the fact that he is an active player in the saga.

The US Ambassador says in the clip: “To date, Zimbabwe has welcomed more than 

9000 refugees, and we thank the Government of Zimbabwe for honouring its international commitments by providing a safe place for refugees.” This can only be achieved in a peaceful environment, but these are the positive elements about Zimbabwe that cannot have “free airtime” on major networks like CNN.

Ambassador Thomas Jnr’s colleague, outgoing French envoy, Mr Laurent Delahousse, who has also been accused of sponsoring the shadowy groups behind the violent protests echoed similar sentiments of peace and safety in Zimbabwe when he was bidding farewell to Acting President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Mr Delahousse pointed out that violent protests were not confined to Zimbabwe, but are common feature in France: “Zimbabwe is a peaceful country, and in France, we have seen much more violence in demonstrations than we have seen in Zimbabwe,” he said.

Thus we wonder what the fomenting of these protests was meant to achieve. An increase in an already bloated refugee population, this time coming from a destabilised Zimbabwe in particular, and the Sadc region in general?

We also question the diplomatic offensive from some of these envoys — US, Britain and France suddenly, after the continued onslaught through their Press statements and media reports, in the past weeks.

Are we missing something? Is it another game changing tactic, considering that the much reported demonstrations against President Mugabe by Evan Mawarire and company, at the UN headquarters have been a monumental flop, and embarrassment to them as his backers?

You don’t have to be an Albert Einstein to see that whatever they are planning for this region using Zimbabwe as an entry point is no laughing matter, and it is time that the region sees through these sinister plots and their ugly consequences.They are people on a mission. If they succeeded in North and West Africa with the so-called Arab Spring, the Middle East and Afghanistan, their conviction is that southern Africa will be no different. And if seasons are anything to go by, spring is upon us right now.

Why they undertake these “missions impossible” also lays bare the bigger picture. For more than two years now, violent protests have rocked a number of US cities, under the banner “Black Lives Matter”, protests that are a result of police brutality against black people. At the time of going to Press, there were violent protests in Charlotte, North Carolina after US police shot and killed yet again another African-American man. Black women are now scared for their children, because US police officers would rather shoot dead an unarmed black man, while they shoot and wound a suspected terrorist!

The run-up to both the Democratic and Republican primaries to choose presidential nominees was fraught with protests, some of them very violent.

They have so much muck in their backyards, but like the hypocrite Jesus talks about in the Bible, they are self-appointed judges who “look at the speck of sawdust in (their) brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in (their) own eye?”

Jesus cautions such moral right standing saying: “How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” (Matthew 7:3-5)

Trust takes years to build, seconds to break and forever to repair. So, once bitten,So, once bitten, twice shy!

Information Minister Slams United States for Hypocrisy

United States Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Harry Thomas Jr is a hypocrite who rushes to castigate local law enforcement agents for using minimum force to quell illegal demonstrations, but turns a blind eye when police officers in his country kill his kith and kin, a Cabinet minister has said. Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Minister Dr Christopher Mushohwe said the callous killing of a disabled black American Keith Lamonte Scott in North Carolina, US, on Tuesday was clear testimony of how the American ambassador has no moral ground to criticise Zimbabwe when police use tear gas and water cannons to crush illegal demonstrations.

Dr Mushohwe’s remarks follow a string of shootings of black people by US police that have stoked outrage in most parts of that country.

The killing of Scott came a few days after a white police officer in Tulsa, Oklahoma, again killed another black man Terence Crutcher whom video evidence indicates was raising his hands above his head to show the police that he was not armed.

Said Minister Mushohwe yesterday: “The issue of the wanton killing of African-Americans and the Latinos in the US is a very common feature. In fact, it happens almost every week.

“But the African-Americans just like our dear ambassador (Mr Thomas Jr) here do not open their eyes to those callous slaughter of people of colour.”

He said statistics indicated that American police had killed hundreds of African-Americans and Latinos in the last two years alone.

Minister Mushohwe said it is therefore disturbing that Ambassador Thomas Jr rushes to castigate the police here when they use water cannons and teargas on illegal demonstrators who loot shops and destroy property.“When the American ambassador, for example, accredited to this great nation stands up and condemns us because water cannons have been used on some people and not talk about the cold-blooded and callous murder of people of his colour in his own home-backyard then you begin to wonder whether this is not a racist comment. It’s no longer to do with human rights.

“We would expect the American ambassador to make sure that he talks about these evil, brutal slaughter of African-Americans in the United States and condemn his Government. Not to just come here and try to meddle into our internal affairs.

“We know who these people are when they come here, we are compelled to believe that they come here with an agenda to cause regime change. They send a character of the ambassador who is an African-American to come here.

“He has a short nose like ours and one would think that he thinks like an African. But no, when a white police officer shoots a man or woman of colour back in his home country, to him it does not matter. But if you take a bucket of water and throw it at the opposition here then it becomes a criminal offence.“We want to hear these people if they are really concerned about human rights and democracy condemn what is happening in the United States. What even makes it worse is that those who are complaining by and large are even white but a man of colour who sees his brother being callously shot and a disabled person for that matter does not,” said Minister Mushohwe.

He added that it was strange that some of the most critics of police actions in Zimbabwe did not condemn the destruction of Government property and looting of shops of ordinary people trying to eke a living.

Letter to Lincoln University Board Chair: JENNINGS MUST GO - NOW!!

Hello All: 

As a proud graduate of Lincoln University, and one of the first 16 coed on campus, I have to admit that these past two years have been among the most stressful that I have ever experienced, vis a vis my beloved Alma Mater.  And I know that I'm not alone in expressing this.  Our 160 year old University has, for the first time in recent history, been inflicted with an individual whose very presence has created an atmosphere of negativity and hostility.  From the day Robert Jennings set foot on the campus in 2012, to the present day, it's been a constant battle for the traditions, spirit, and quality that Lincoln University stands for.

Ironically, at a recently held so called public board of trustees meeting, the chair read a statement that pretty much said they were satisfied that Jennings had met their contractual requirements and that they had no problem with him. 

Really???  If his contract was about dismantling the school, demoralizing the faculty and students, replacing time honored faculty, administrators and staff with questionable "interim" vice presidents, and a reduction in enrollment that takes it back to the mid-sixties level (when Lincoln had 600 males and 20 females, of which I was one), then he has indeed done "fine" job. 

It also speaks to whether or not the board is in tune with the needs of the campus or is a cya/face saving mode (CYA stands for cover your ass, for the uninitiated).

I recently received a letter that was sent to the board chair, that I'm posting here, in case there are those who are viewing the reports on the media and think that the Alumni are complacently sitting back while all this fracas transpires. For I can assure you that we are not.  Actually, I wanted to set Jennings out on the Pike the first time I met him, and more especially after he made the speech at our Alumni Anniversary dinner where he stated arrogantly:  "Everybody agrees with what I'm doing.  They think I'm doing a fantastic job." 

REALLY????  I guess, in retrospect, if he's talking about the Board of Trustees, maybe he was right.  But the jury was still out on the rest of us.  Especially after it became known that he was suspending Alumni reunion week, curtailing accommodations for alumni on the campus, and a whole host of other hostile actions towards those of us who had graduated from Lincoln and loved her enough to maintain a sustaining ongoing relationship. Or how about wanting to bull doze the more that 15 land mark buildings on the campus that have been there since the campus' inception in the 1850's to put up a "welcome center."  Wonder what would have happened had someone told Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, or Yale that they were going to bulldoze their original buildings - PRECISELY - that was our reaction as well.  

The spirits of Langston Hughes, Thurgood Marshall, Kwame Nkrumah, Nnamde Azikewe, Horace Mann Bond, Marvin Wachman and so many of our ancestors must be looking down upon us with shame as we go through dragging out what is really a simple procedure.  These men of action knew that the greater good was more important than anything else, and that the future of Lincoln University must be preserved and protected at all costs.  Presidents (even ersatz presidents) are hired and can be fired; alumni are forever, and are the legacy of the school to the world.  

The posturing and shuffling must end - Jennings must go - NOW.

Dear Ms. Lloyd:

           

Those of us who work and study at Lincoln University have known for over two years that Robert Jennings is unfit to serve as President of our school.  He has created a chaotic environment in the university administration, with turnover rates well above what they should be and numerous unfilled positions or positions filled by “Acting” or “Interim” administrators.

He has driven potential and current students away from Lincoln with his Draconian policies and mismanagement of academic programs.  Under his leadership, we have seen steady declines in enrollment that exceed those of other public universities, including HBCUs, in our geographic region.  Alumni contributions have dropped, the endowment has been raided, and his fundraising campaign has failed miserably.

Faculty and staff live in fear of his next cutbacks, even as he spends money on questionable projects and fails to provide transparency on the university budget.  Programs are consolidated or eliminated without any input from faculty committees.  He has hijacked faculty meetings, often taking up more than half of the time with his self-aggrandizing “comments” so that faculty business cannot be conducted.  Jennings micromanages decisions at the departmental level, often ignoring the input of those who best know how their programs should be run.

The result is that both the alumni and the faculty voted overwhelmingly that they have “No Confidence” in Jennings’ ability to successfully lead Lincoln University.  This was before a video recording of his “Women’s Convocation” speech was made public through YouTube.  The video has received more than 31,000 views thus far, but, more importantly, it has been widely covered by news media and generated significant pushback from national commentators.

Most recently, Melissa Harris-Perry, one of the most respected African-American television commentators, read a letter to President Jennings on her MSNBC program on Saturday, November 15. She said, “Well, President Jennings, it is you who created that hostile environment when you blamed women for sexual assault and implied that they regularly lie about rape. What you said was offensive, appalling and wrong.” (http://www.msnbc.com/melissa-harris-perry/mhp-letter-robert-jennings)  Harris-Perry stated that Jennings’ words “disgrace the legacy” of Lincoln University.

CNN aired a panel discussion on Nov. 12 led by another prominent African-American journalist, Don Lemon, to discuss President Jennings’ remarks.  One panelist called his comments about women lying about rape “absurd.”  But the strongest criticism came from Gloria Allred, perhaps the most prominent attorney in the nation representing women in discrimination cases. Allred said about Jennings’ remarks, “It creates a hostile environment on that campus for women who are raped or are victims of sexual assault who are thinking about coming forward.”  She added that “I think that the Office of Civil Rights and the Department of Education would be very upset to hear the President’s statements, and, in fact, any victim could use that in a potential lawsuit against the college for a violation of Title IX.” (http://www.cnn.com/video/data/2.0/video/us/2014/11/12/ctn-panel-college-president-explains-why-some-women-lie-about-rape.cnn.html)

The story and the negative reaction to the convocation remarks were published in hundreds of newspapers nationwide, and were included in a Washington Post story about a date rape at Brown University as a means of showing the lack of response to sexual assaults on some college campuses.  Other articles and opinion pieces appeared on highly-viewed web sites such as HuffingtonPost.com, Salon.com, andTalkingPointsMemo.com, and the on-line sites of Cosmopolitan andEssence magazines.

These are not the first comments by President Jennings that demonstrate a lack of sensitivity to our faculty, staff, and students, they are just the ones that were recorded and posted on line.  He has become a liability to Lincoln, and threatens to damage any chance for a rebound in enrollment, faculty and administrative stability, and alumni support at our beloved university. 

That is why so many of us are disappointed in the stamp of approval given to Jennings by you and the Board of

Trustees at the meeting on Saturday, Nov. 15.  Although there was an announcement that a review of President Jennings’ tenure here will be conducted by the Board, there were no specifics as to who would conduct the review, how it would be conducted, when the results would be announced, and what actions might result from such a review, if any. 

The students, faculty, and alumni of Lincoln University have all spoken, and now the local and national media affirm our decisions.  Robert Jennings is damaging our school, and action needs to be taken by the Board of Trustees and you to swiftly remove him before the damage becomes irreversible.

MY RESPONSE TO THE LETTER; 

Hey Dick, John and the rest of the groupii!

This is wonderfully written, succinct, to the point, and in the spirit of Lincoln Alumni - We had an alumni association meeting last night (Wednesday) in Philadelphia questioning who was really going to do the review, when was it going to be complete, when were we going to be notified of the results; and whether or not we would have input in the selection of the next president.  Bob Ingram, national AALU president and I voiced concerns as to whether there were some underlying motives that would prevent the quick dispensation of Jennings' dismissal - i.e. the fact that there is some sort of proposed development of the 432 acres upon which our campus sits - it's ironic that more than one of the board members and their supporters also happen to be RE developers.  Carol Black recently wrote a letter to the organization that was looking to do some development to hold off until the issue with Jennings could be settled, given the fact that he had received votes of no confidence from both the Alumni and Faculty.  Thus far we've heard nothing back from them.  We definitely don't want him to be instrumental in negotiating anything that would tie up the schools resources -
