ICYMI: Anyone Who Thinks Dr. Oz won the debate with Fetterman is Stuck on Stupid

By Gloria DULAN-Wilson

Dr. Odd (uh, Oz)  thought he could sneak across the Pennsylvania border from another state, claim residence and run against  Lt Governor John Fetterman, a lifelong Pennsylvanian, and steal the senate race.  He actually thought he could hoodwink Pennsylanians into believing he was a resident,  The only person stuck on stupid is Dr. Odd (and perhaps the meanstream media and faux news).

The same Dr. Odd whose TV show misled  thousands of viewers to follow him, try his bogus products, follow his quackery medical advice, and purchase his Made In China products, lies with a straight face, without blinking an eye.

While pretending to be genuine, Oz flipped the script on so many of his viewers and crossed over into the repuglycon party.  Most of us feel we've been betrayed - stabbed in the back - sabotaged.  He actually took it for granted that we would mindlessly follow him blindly.  Seriously????

Taking advantage of America's trust is nothing new.  Back on the old days, in the 1800s,  there were  groups of men who would criss-cross the country preying on the ignorance of local people, selling them bogus medical remedies, making them think they had miracle cures.  Because they were good a faking sincerity and authenticity, they were able to dazzle and deceive them with their slick fast talk, and smooth looks.  These were called Snake Oil men.  Their phony "miracle" cures caused more harm than good,  while pretending they were the only ones who had the cure, remedy, magic - you name it!  If someone tried to question their product or get more information, they would try to distract them by accusing someone else of being phony, or come up with some other "danger" to take the focus of them.  If you notice during the debate, when John Fetterman had him cornered in his pile of lies,  Dr, Oz would try to weasel out of it by  invoking the lie about the infiltration of "fentanyl."  There was one time when he said it so many times, we thought he had suddenly forgotten what the original question was.  The hype about fentanyl - generated by the media - is largely used to vilify immigrants coming to the US for asylum.

Following in the tradition of the con artist, Oz comes sneaks into Pennsylvania  with  a pocket full of lies, and support of the former predator in chief, thinking he can use his so called celebrity to fool the people.   Instead of his usual snake oil to  cure lumbago, to get rid of the drought, clear your skin, cure baldness - and only for pennies on the dollar, he wants to be elected US senator so he can misrepresent Pennsylvania and hand us over to the predator in chief and his goons.  He is hoping that Pennsylvanians will fall for his  "celebrity" status, and completely overlook the fact that he has absolutely no experience whatsoeve, knows nothing about governing, legislating, or ameliorating problems.  He is only there to be a paid seat filler  T-rump and his fascists so that they can begin to destroy democracy.  He is hoping that people will fall for the okey-doke, buy his lies, run to the polls and  vote him in only to find they'd been "hornswaggled" - ripped off, lied to, hoodwinked.

Oz tried to back off his statement about abortion being murder; he tried to side step his residency issues; he tried to back pedal from his alliance with T-rump.  He used his "silver" tongue to try to convince people that he was "sincere" and honorable.  LOL and then Dr. Oz literally said that the decision to have an abortion is between "a woman, her doctor, and local political leaders."

This con-artist's TV show has given him the glibness of tongue, so he can spin lies faster than a cat can lick his face. Some people are dazzled and deceived into thinking he is the real deal. But not Pennsylvanians.  And most certainly not Philadelphians.  But, it's the formula T-rump used  - so he is going to try to shove it down our throats.

All I can say is here we go again folks!! T-rump  to Oz - how much further can we allow ourselves to sink?

Didn't America already get sucked in with that line of erroneous thinking?  TWICE!! First with Ronald (can't act worth a damn) Reagan, and more recently with Donald (orange face fool - predator and liar-in-chief) T-rump. And please note, at no time in this or any of my other articles do I ever associate the word "president" and "T-rump" in the same phrase - because he never was, nor will he ever be, President of the US.  He was never elected - he was aided and abetted by Russian interference with our election.  We definitely should have learned our lesson by now - and not make the same mistake a third time with "Dr. Odd!!"

That said,  what these three men have in common was name recognition and celebrity  - either from being on TV or in the movies!! And a gullible crowd that accrued a certain amount of hero-worship to characters who were anything but heroes; had never ever held a responsible job in their lives; purported to have all the answers to the problems - and completely screwed up everything they touched.  This is how we got to January 6th, 2021.  Add to that Mastriano, who hired buses, took 300 people down to DC for the attempted overthrow of the government, and you have a recipe for disaster, with Pennsylvania being served up as the main dish - the sacrificial lamb.

Oz tried to inveigh John Fetterman's stroke was a liability.  However, like others, Fetterman is on the mend. How disingenuous for an ersatz doctor to try disparage someone, when his very field dictates that he be a beacon of courage in the healing arts.  What a hypocrite!!!

What Fetterman lacks in verbosity, he makes up for it in actions, accomplishments, sincerity, and vision!!  While the debate arena may not be his long suit, and he might not be able to spin a yarn -  he gets things done - and has consistently proved it by doing just that!!  He's put his Masters in Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government to good use in the service of his constituency.  His focus on finding solutions in social work, business, and public policy to confront urban challenges and economic inequality, made him a standard bearer as a former mayor, and later distinguished him as Lieutenant Governor to governor Tom Wolfe.  During his 12 years as mayor,  he built Braddock back from the verge of extinction.

Distorted commercials about his wanting to  raise taxes, neglects to mention that, like President Biden, he is looking to tax those making $400,000 and above - not the  working class. So don't believe the disinformation being portrayed on TV.  Nor should you believe the garbage about letting criminals loose, when he's made it patently clear that he's speaking of victimless crimes, and misdemeanors.  Keeping those who have minor quality of life crimes  should not be incarcerated, while at the same time going after those who have committed capital and violent egregious crimes,  are not to be allowed to go free.  His early stance on legalizing marijuana shows he's a visionary; as well as ability to turn an entire town around when they were on the brink of collapse.

Fetterman's support for women didn't just start with the Supreme court overturning Roe V. Wade.  He's long been a supporter of women's rights, advanced entreprenurial and business training for women.  He has worked with young people and artists to transform creative spaces, and turned abandoned properties into urban gardens. John has worked to attract new residents and new jobs, as more than a dozen businesses have relocated into Braddock and the population has stabilized for the first time in decades.  As Lieutenant governor, he brought the same approach to Harrisburg.  Fetterman's considered a quiet giant, who gets more pleasure out of doing and accomplishing, than empty bragging and pontificating.

Please don't let the fact that Oz's 30 years of being in front of a camera, and the ability to lie with a straight face con you into thinking he "won" the debate.   Obviously "winning" has now taken on a different meaning - especially since T-rump was able to become the ersatz president by using Russian technology to change the votes, and then bought off the (s)electorial college to get him in.  If by "winning" the person who tells the biggest lie with a straight face, the person who is able to best dodge key questions, the person who is able to shift the focus on truth can be considered a "winner," then perhaps Oz "won."

However, his is all talk.  No proof, no track record.  No clue as to what is truly in the best interest of Pennsylvanians.  Please recall that a similar situation occurred when a bold faced liar was allowed to become the ersatz president of the US., plunging us into the most egregious debacle ever experienced in modern times.  And certainly something totally unprecedented in the history of the U. S. A.   If lies constitute winning, then everyone who witnessed this debate needs a serious wake up call.  If Oz "won" the we lose, because he is a prime example of why you must never, ever again elect anyone who has never legislated,  or passed a bill, or worked with and for the people to resolve quality of life issues, or who pus his own ego first into any office of responsibility and accountability - never ever ever again in life!

PENNSYLVANIA CANNOT AFFORD TO ALLOW OZ TO BECOME ANYTHING EXCEPT BACK ACROSS THE BRIDGE TO NEW JERSEY!!

Haven't we suffered enough with the ills that T-rump has visited on us??   Does Pennyslvania need to compound it with a snake oil pseudo doctor who sneaked across the border into Pennsylvania to steal the right to fair elections, who sits in T-rump's back pocket; and who has no intention of honoring our right to real representation?

If you allow Oz to be elected senator - women will lose their right to self-determination and control over our bodies; you are health care and insurance will be on the chopping block, along with the minimum wage of $15.00, plus equitable programs for those who deserve better educational and training programs.  More lies and less services for the next six (6) years!!  The end of women's rights, the lies and the invasion of more racists coming up from the primordial ooze that is being generated from Mar-A-Lago, Russia, China and North Korea via a megalomaniac who will use Oz to establish a dictatorship in America!!

Is that what you want??  You are stuck on stupid if you elect Mehmet Oz - and I don't think that is what you want to wake up to on November 9, 2022 - which is why on NOVEMBER 8, 2022, you must VOTE FOR JOHN FETTERMAN FOR  U S SENATE FROM THE GREAT STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA  and send Oz's sorry carcass back across the border to Jersey where he belongs.

PS:  Please don't allow the meanstream media define who is and who isn't a winner.  We have to begin to think for ourselves.  Make sure our voter turnout for FETTERMAN IS SO MONUMENTAL IT WILL TAKE A MICROSCOPE TO FIND OUT WHERE OZ WENT.

Back to the original statement - anyone who thinks  Oz "won" the debate is totally stuck on stupid.
Let's make sure that definition does not accrue to us.

MESSAGE FROM JOHN FETTERMAN:  "Here's the truth: I will ALWAYS fight for the right of women to make decisions about their own bodies and lives in partnership with their doctor.  That’s why, if I’m chosen to serve in the U.S. Senate, I’ll be the 51st vote to keep "local political leaders" OUT of those deeply personal decisions. Unlike Dr. Oz, who called all abortion, under any circumstance, "murder."

MESSAGE TO LU ALUMNI - VOTE JOSH SHAPIRO FOR GOVERNOR OF PENNSYLVANIA

By Gloria DULAN-Wilson

Hello All!

Hope all is well, and you are all registered and ready to participate in this upcoming MIDTERM 2022 ELECTION. Hopefully by now, all my LU Brothers and Sisters, no matter where you are in this world, are locked and loaded and ready to BLUE - NO MATTER WHO.

I know that officially Lincoln U's administration, faculty and staff can't  officially publicly endorse any candidate.  Neither can our Alumni  Associations  formally endorse any party or candidate.  However, as individuals with common sense, intelligence, and a sense of propriety, you can make an informed, evidence based, individual decisions. So I'm presenting this to you!  JOSH SHAPIRO IS THE BEST CANDIDATE FOR THE GOVERNOR OF PENNSYLVANIA!!

And, since I have my own blog, ECLECTICALLY BLACK NEWS, and am not a 501(c)3 - nonprofit, or charitable entity - I can make recommendations, and  ENDORSE WHO I WANT.  And, those who know me know that I don't make frivilous endorsements.

L-R Josh Shapiro Candidate for Governor Pennsylvania & Austin Davis Candidate for Lt. Governor

Of course, it's your prerogative to accept, or not accept, my recommendation.  But you know how serious I am about making sure we have the best possible elected officials in office so that we can continue to thrive, grow, and serve our roles as citizens, educators, and students, in Pennsylvania and beyond.

I can also let you know that this is NOT A PAID POLITICAL ANNOUNCEMENT - THIS IS STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART AND STRAIGHT FROM MY EXPERIENCE IN INTERACTING AND COMMUNICATING WITH JOSH SHAPIRO WHEN LINCOLN WAS IN THE THROES OF A CRISIS OF MONUMENTAL PROPORTIONS.

He stepped up to the plate in a way that made a critical difference in our continued existence.  In his capacity as attorney general, he really didn't have to answer our call. He could have relegated it to some assistant in his office, and continued with his own business as usual protocol.  But, NO!  He not only responded - he monitored the entire procedure and made sure that we did not fall prey to what could have been the ultimate destruction of our beloved Alma Mater.

Josh Shapiro saved Lincoln University from destruction at the hands of internal treachery - and made sure we were able to continue to grow and thrive as a stellar institution of higher learning.  A scant two years ago, while we were in the middle of the horrific pandemic, we were under siege.  Had it not been for his intervention and support for rule of law, integrity and stability - as well as the assistance of State Senator Vincent Hughes and State Representative Stephen Kinsey, Lincoln U might now be bulldozed, raised and now being developed as someone's bucolic condominium.

Of course his intervention made a difference that affected all Lincolnians - but this is specifically directed to Lincoln Alumni in the state of Pennsylvania - regardless of whether you're active in one of our Alumni Associations, or not: VOTE JOSH SHAPIRO FOR GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA - Let's show that we still exemplify the  WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING, SAVVY THAT EXEMPLIFIES LINCOLN MEN AND WOMEN.

I am going on the record and saying that any and all  PENNSYLVANIAN Lincoln University Alumni, or current students, or faculty and staff should/must/had better vote for JOSH SHAPIRO FOR GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA!!  And his running mate for Lieutenant Governor, Austin Davis!!

Interestingly enough, Pennsylvania is one of 18 states that elects a lieutenant governor and governor separately.  So,  when Austin Davis was s/elected as  Josh Shapiro's running mate, it was also a signal that Shapiro was a game changer  in Pennsylvania's political old boy arena.    They are teamed together as a single ticket—just like for president and vice president—for the upcoming November 8, 2022 general election- So a vote for Shapiro is likewise a vote for Austin Davis!!

I am hoping the editors of our LU Page will post my article.  It's essential to our future.   Of course you can insert a disclaimer that "my views don't necessarily reflect yours" - however, since we are engaged in freedom of speech and expression - I would appreciate it if you would please share this.

We cannot assume that our Alumni are really cognizant of the pivotal role Shapiro has played in the continued existence and survival of our beloved Alma Mater.

PS: Kudos and eternal gratitude to brother classmate Charles Latta for his vigilance in spotting the plot and helping us nip it in the bud from the beginning.

Again LU / PA - JOSH SHAPIRO FOR GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA  - HAIL! HAIL! LINCOLN!! (of course, by extrapolition, I am also endorsing John Fetterman - but I guess you already knew that - right?)

MONDAY OCTOBER 24, 2022 IS THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO VOTE NATIONALLY -
ARE YOU REGISTERED?
IF NOT - WHY NOT?
LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN LU!!

NOW THAT YOU KNOW
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?

VOTE BLUE - NO MATTER WHO!!

EMERGENCY ALERT: REVISED SIGN PETITION TO INCREASE LINCOLN UNIVERSITY BUDGET

PLEASE NOTE:  I'M SENDING THIS AGAIN - SOME ONE INADVERTENTLY ATTACHED THE WRONG LINK FOR THE PETITION - IF YOU RECEIVED THE PREVIOUS BLOG POST, I APOLOGIZE - THIS IS THE CORRECTED VERSION WITH THE APPROPRIATE LINK AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE BUDGET FROM LINCOLN ALUMNI NATIONAL PRESIDENT ROBERT INGRAM.  THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND COOPERATION

Please, do it now! Here's the link to the petition:   Petition to Increase Budget Appropriation to Lincoln University

By Gloria Dulan-Wilson

Hello All:

We are facing crucial crunches in this first quarter of the New Year.  We have successfully elected a new governor of Pennsylvania, Tom Wolf, who many feel will definitely correct so many of the egregious wrongs perpetrated by the previous governor, Tom Corbett.  But that may not be the case when it comes to Lincoln University, the first Black College in the United States  - i.e. the first HBCU.

For far too long Lincoln suffered from the short end of the stick under Corbett, who had systematically reduced the funding for the college, causing severe budget crises and reduction of services to the students.  And it was recently learned that the pain is likely to continue with Lincoln University and Cheyney State being relegated to insultingly paltry sums that shows no consideration for the humungous task these schools undertake in educating and credentialing some of the brightest and best among us.

Now, under Wolf, coming in on the heels of Corbett, an opportunity to correct that error is set for March 24 - yes -that's NEXT TUESDAY, MARCH 24, 2015.  Which means it's time to get busy NOW!  Sign the petition, of course - circulate it to other alumni - but not just alumni - any registered voter in the State of Pennsylvania, or any member of Lincoln's Alumni can sign the petition - and it is in the highest and best interest of Lincoln as well as the State of Pennsylvania that Lincoln be made whole - and given the appropriate funding due for what they've accomplished in the past; the fact that they still continue to produce quality students despite the economic injustice perpetrated against them in the past; and can do even more to distinguish themselves as well as Pennsylvania, if given the increased resources they so richly deserve.

While Governor Wolf has a lot on his plate, this is definitely deserving of immediate attention - when one realizes that it's often, unfortunately a truism, that Black colleges are largely discriminated against via economic segregation - a not-so-benign-neglect from the higher ups who give them a "lick and a promise" and then push them to the back burner.

Lincoln was founded in 1854 and is the first among so many firsts in Pennsylvania. Governor Wolf should be extremely proud of the long and illustrious history of this great educational institution that gave the world Thurgood Marshall - First African American on the Supreme Court; Langston Hughes and Everett Hoagland - poetic and literary giants in their own right; Robert N. C. Nix - first African American congressman from Pennsylvania; two presidents of Africa - Kwame Nkrumah and Nnamde Azikewe; Horace Mann Bond - and was a favorite place to visit by Albert Einstein; and was so great that Albert C. Barnes left his entire art collection to the school!

Swearing in Robert N.C. Nix to Congress

For 161 years Lincoln has met or exceeded expectations - nationally and internationally.  From a small, humble college started by Presbyterian ministers who saw the necessity for a university to educate the growing number of freedmen in the Pennsylvania area, it has grown into one of the most prestigious Universities on the national and international scale, with a stellar faculty.

In the 21st Century, when Lincoln can do so much more, this is the time to make sure they have the funds and support they need.  In addition to the petition below, please contact your Pennsylvania State Representatives, and urge them to support you in this effort.

PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION - MAKE YOUR VOICES AND WISHES HEARD

Dear Alumni and Friends of Lincoln University,
Robert Ingram
We are nearing the midnight hour of the hearing on the appropriation for Lincoln University and the three other state-related universities.  The Pennsylvania House Appropriations Committee hearing is scheduled on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at 9:30 am in Harrisburg.

We need to speak with one voice for Lincoln University and urge you to sign the "Petition to the Pennsylvania House, the Pennsylvania Senate and Pennsylvania  Governor to Increase the Appropriation to Lincoln University," which is currently proposed at 7%, to the same level as proposed increases for the three other state-related institutions which is 21.9% for Penn State, 10.9% for the University of Pittsburgh and 11.0% for Temple University.

Our goal is 2,000 signatures and we will personally deliver the petition and your supporting comments to members of the Appropriation Committees and Governor Wolf.

Please, do it now! Here's the link to the petition:   Petition to Increase Budget Appropriation to Lincoln University

Thank you for standing up for dear Lincoln University!

 Dear Classmates,

I really need your help!  The PA House Appropriations Committee budget hearing with the four state-related universities (Penn State, Pitt, Temple and Lincoln University) is scheduled on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. I created a petition and intend to deliver it to every member of the committee requesting that the appropriation for Lincoln University be increased to eliminate the funding disparity in the Governor's proposed budget and assure that students at Lincoln University have the same opportunities for success as students at Penn State, Pitt and Temple universities, all of which are slated to receive higher increases than Lincoln University.  In just two days over 300 alumni have signed the petition but I think there should be at least 1,000 signatures.  Here’s the link to the petition with more information:

EVENT ALERT: LET MY PEOPLE VOTE FAITH BASED COMMUNITY & ATAC Make All Out Push to GOTV - GET OUT THE VOTE

By Gloria Dulan-Wilson

Hello All:

Halloween just ended the other day, but the evil that walks among us may well still have the last say unless we do our part.  To show you what vampires and goblins look like,  you need look no further than these miscreants and all that they've done to harm us to realize that it will take more than prayer to bring in the victory during this mid-term election.

In case you've forgotten the bad old days of repuglycon evil, just take a look at these two.  It's enough to chill your bones - thank goodness there are conscientious Americans throughout the US coming together to put a stop to this.  All you have to do is get up out of your easy chair, go and vote.  Takes less than 5 minutes to do so, but will have a lifetime affect on what happens here in the US, as well as in your own local community.

Let's put an end to this reign of terror and error once and for all!  VOTE BLUE!!!

Prominent Faith Leaders & Voters with the Nation’s Largest Faith-Based Voter Turn-Out Program, Available to Discuss GOTV Focus on Infrequent African American and Latino Voters
Final Push for 2014 Election Comes as “Let My People Vote” Electoral Program Surpasses 400,000 Person-to-Person Conversations

Washington, D.C. – Today, clergy and faith voters with the PICO National Network, the largest grassroots, faith-based organizing network in the country, are focused on the massive neighbor-to-neighbor, non-partisan Get Out The Vote effort to turnout African-American and Latino voters who don’t usually vote in mid-term elections.
This weekend, volunteer faith leaders from PICO surpassed conversations with more than 400,000 voters about faith and voting and still plan to talk to thousands more as polls open tomorrow.
PICO organizations are working in key battleground states, such as Florida, Louisiana and Colorado, as well as on critical ballot initiatives including Question 4 in Massachusetts regarding earned sick time and California’s Proposition 47 that would reclassify many non-violent felonies as misdemeanors.

In these final days leading up to tomorrow’s elections, PICO logged live conversations with more 10,000 targeted voters a day. Almost 6,000 volunteers were scheduled to work over the weekend in the big GOTV push, demonstrating the power of the power people of faith can have when they stand up for their family, neighbors and coworkers.

The Let My People Vote program has recruited and trained more than 10,000 volunteer leaders, developed new community relationships and met voters where they are: in the pews, on their phones, and at their doors in Florida, Louisiana, California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

PICO volunteers are emphasizing the importance of voting to advance racial and economic justice issues at the heart of what it means to be a person of faith in America—especially in the wake of the killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson and the lack of action on immigration reform.

“As a person of faith, every single conversation we’re having on the doors or on the phones is a sacred act that will bring people to the polls whose voices would not otherwise be heard,” said Rosie Washington, a lead community organizer with the Micah Project in New Orleans. “As faith voters, especially those of us in the African American community, we cannot and will not stand on the sidelines while families around us are struggling to make ends meet, to find good jobs, to take care of their kids, and to get back on their feet.”

“The Let My People Vote program is about the moral obligation to stand for forgiveness, redemption and restoration,” said Desmond Meade, PICO’s Faith in Florida State Director of Live Free campaign. “This is God’s work with a focus on empowering our families, our friends, and our communities to make sure the voices of voters who have been marginalized or locked out of the voting process are engaged and have the opportunity to fight for what they believe in.”
Pastor Michael McBride, director of the PICO’s Live Free campaign said that people of faith have the power to change the crises our country faces. “David in Psalm 28:2, says ‘Hear my cry for mercy, as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hands toward your most holy place.’ With those words in mind, the faith community will work through Election Day to empower and engage voters in black, Latino, and other communities to help heal our nation by voting and encouraging our neighbors to do the same,” said Pastor McBride. “When everyone in our community votes, elected officials cannot ignore us.”

NEW YORK
New York State's Board of Election Candidate Rostrum is 92 Pages Long!!! Needless to say there is a lot at stake here - but the space allotted is much too small to list all the races.  I am personally endorsing the re-election of Governor Andrew Cuomo for governor of the State of New York.  Other than than, if you need to find out who's running in your district (Assembly, State, etc.) log on to

PENNSYLVANIA

ATAC (Avenge The Ancestors Coalition) Michael Coard, President

Brothers and Sisters:  In my capacity as a radio show host for more than ten years, a trial attorney for 20 years, a cultural activist during my adult lifetime, and an African descendant throughout my entire lifetime, I submit the attached list of my endorsed candidates in the November 4, 2014 General Election....unlike the average voter, I have the time to research the candidates and the issues and also have the experience to know the good from the bad (as well as the not-so-bad from the truly bad), particularly in regard to what they have done or not done to benefit our community.
By the way, voting must be merely one part of a one-two punch. In other words, voting by itself is not nearly enough. You also must engage in political activism afterward. That's why I call it "Vote & Voice!" which means to put candidates in office and then vocally demand that they do the right thing for Black people and poor people.
In closing, it is necessary for me to point out that there are at least three important reasons why you must vote for somebody (even if it's a write-in candidate, including yourself if you want).  One: The first rule of warfare is to do exactly what your enemy doesn't want you to do. And the enemy is so-called white supremacy, which has created modern day "poll tax and literacy test" anti-voting obstacles like photo ID. Two:  By voting, you increase your chances to get called for jury duty...stopping courthouse racism in its tracks. Three: Your ancestors fought, died, and won the battle for you to elect people like Dave Richardson, Atlanta Mayor Maynard Jackson, Adam Clayton Powell, Chicago Mayor Harold Washington, revolutionary lawyer/Jackson Mayor Chokwe Lumumba, and many others.  Thank you.

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS- AND PROTECT THEM!

How can you find the location of your polling place?
Call the Citizens’ Access Center at 866-268-8603.
What time do the PENNSYLVANIA polling places open and close?
They open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.
Who is legally permitted to vote?
Basically, anyone who is registered is permitted to vote.
What type of identification is needed in order to be permitted to vote?
Although you might not necessarily need any if you have voted before, you should play it safe by taking with you your driver’s license, non-driver’s license, passport, state identification, federal identification, military identification, employee identification, student identification, or voter’s identification card. Or you should take your utility bill, bank statement, current paycheck, or government paycheck (but those bills, statements, or paychecks must have your name and address pre-printed on them).
What do you do if you are not permitted to vote when you get to the PENNSYLVANIA polling place?
Immediately call the Committee of Seventy at 215-557-3600 or the Voter Registration Office at 215-686-1590. If that doesn’t work, immediately demand a “Provisional Ballot,” which you have an absolute right to receive and that ballot can serve as a kind of temporary vote until the problem is resolved.
Are people who have been convicted of crimes permitted to vote?
If you have been convicted of a felony but have been released from jail (or from a halfway house), you are permitted to vote.
If you have been convicted of a misdemeanor and even if you are still in jail (or in a halfway house) for that misdemeanor, you are permitted to vote. But obviously, it would have to be done by absentee ballot if you are still in jail (and probably if you are in a halfway house as well).
If you are on probation or house arrest or are a released parolee and that probation or house arrest or released parolee status is for either a felony or a misdemeanor, you are permitted to vote.
If you have traffic tickets, owe child support, and have any situation like that, you are permitted to vote.
Are you permitted to wear buttons, tee-shirts, etc. regarding a particular candidate?
In Philadelphia, the answer is yes. You are permitted to “endorse” a candidate by (passively) wearing buttons, tee-shirts, etc., but you must immediately leave the polling place after you vote. You are not permitted to “electioneer” for a candidate by (actively) campaigning.

For more information, call attorney Michael Coard at 215-552-8714,
the ACLU at 215-592-1513, or the Committee of Seventy at 215-557-3600
