And it's embarrassing to watch when they throw a colleague under the bus for the most specious of reasons. In far too many instances they don't even check for the veracity of the allegations, or the motivations of those who put out specious lies without even the slightest evidence.  It both frightens and infuriates me - and I imagine there are others in our party who probably feel the same way.  When it comes to sticking together, standing up for each other, and going to bat for each other.

I don't get it!!  The most despicable party on the planet right now, the one that has tried to violently overthrow the government, who packed the subprime court with degenerates liars, cheaters, grifters; who block social security and medicare funds for American in need, while lining the pockets of their super rich maggots - manage to stick together, no matter how degenerate they are. 

We, on the other hand, seem to take ten steps back, and dummy up, when anything comes up that might tarnish the reputation of one of our members.  

CASE IN POINT:  The recent allegations and investigations of New York City Mayor Eric Adams for alleged improprieties with campaign fundraising.  The FBI has not revealed who is generating these allegations.  And the toxic meanstream media's ersatz news is trying to make it look as if Mayor Adams - a former member of the NYPD, New York State Senator, Borough President of Brooklyn, would be so stupid as to fudge the funds.  Or that he would have around him anyone who would do such a thing!  It's clear that these are straw dogs trying to distort his reputation.  

And it's not the first time we've allowed one of our own to be taken down by lies and distortions:  

The Cuomo's are a clear stain on who we are as Democrats - We blew it when Governor Mario Cuomo was not re-elected because they were able to float the idea that he had been governor "too long," and it was time for someone else to take the reins.  So New Yorkers took the bait and elected George Pataki - who was to New York as T-rump was to the US - nearly destroying the state, while lining the pockets of repuglycons who were ushered in to dismantle all the benefits New York was known for.  We are still trying to come back from that one.  Then, his son, Governor Andrew Cuomo, who embarrassed T-rump and other ersatz leaders by bringing us through the most heinous pandemic - that killed hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers, while the predator in chief sat in Washington and did nothing.  He was on TV, in the community, every day working with the people and the health and care givers to save New Yorkers!  He was a HERO!  All the world was impressed with his leadership!  And yet, when the dust had cleared, and people were on the mend, New Yorkers thanked him by allegations of "womanizing."  My question then, and now, was when did he have the time?   And, of course, the case of Chris Cuomo, who was given the hatchet by CNN, for allegedly standing by the Governor. (Note, CNN wants to be the next FoxFaux News).   They claimed it was a "conflict of interest," for standing for the Governor (his brother) while the Jackass in chief's children were ripping people off in plain sight!

I found this ridiculous in the main. I also found how gullible we NYers can be when certain buzz words were activated, without any true due diligence as to whether the allegations were true; or if these were GOP ploys to weaken our base.

On the surface, we're the "good guys." We are the most advanced, brilliant, artistic, egalitarian city on the planet - and simultaneously also the most gullible, vicious, avaricious. 

As I read the bogus headlines about Mayor Eric Adams, I remembered other times when we were conned into shooting ourselves in the foot by B.S. repugycons who know that we are easily goaded into making stupid moves.  And then, when we realize we've been suckered, it's too late!

Now here we are, as they try to see how much of the envelope can be pushed in order to levy bogus, bullshit charges against Mayor Eric Adams because of some perceived wrongdoing by one of his fundraisers, we're actually speculating his guilt - even guilt by association! Duh!

 

Interestingly enough, while the FBI was called in on this perceived crime, the same thing didn't happen when it was all too apparent that T-rump had the Russians use their AI to shift our votes so that he could be declared the winner in a presidential election where it was clear that he was anything but.  Adding insult to injury, when it was found that our rights as voters were usurped, The We/Democratic Party didn't even demand there be a recount!  We didn't demand a thorough investigation to ascertain whether or not the corruption was a threat to America's security - which, by the way - it clearly was/is!  Somehow we still vacillate when we are still under such threats!  I find it chilling that there are several groups here who are actually planning where they/we will live if America does indeed allow the mendicant in chief to run again and push America into fascism. 

Why is Eric Adams a target?

First of all, and the most obvious reason is because he's BLACK!

No big surprise here.  It's the basis of everything that is leveled against us from jump street - but I prefer to get it out of the way, because the Democrats will hem and haw around it - and it is, for all intents and purposes, the truly big ELEPHANT in the room.

The second reason is because Eric Adams is also a Smart Black Man who Knows What the Heck He's Doing and is Doing it Quite Well!  There's nothing caucasoids hate more than a smart Black man - because it shows up their stupidity.  But, let's face it:  Eric Adams knows NYC inside out, upside down and backwards - from the New York City Transit Authority and the MTA to the NYPD; from the NY State Senate, The Borough President, and now the Mayor.  Eric Adams has studied and learned all that there is to learn about each and every post - and he's done an exemplary job in each of his roles.  As a New Yorker, Eric Adams loves his city and is people, but is in no way fooled by the fact that there are those, with the right kind of dollar incentive, would throw him under the bus, while shaking his hand.  It's not new. But it is  soooo New York!

The allegations that Eric Adams had consorted with outside countries to win the election is just someone trying to throw stuff on the wall to see what sticks.  It patently isn't true.  Not only is it not true, but in a city with more than 190 different nationalities represented, it would be very difficult to be a mayor and not have positive relations and interactions with those who make up this "magnificent mosaic." 

Additionally, last I checked, the US and Turkeye have very friendly ties via NATO, as well as other historical interactions.  To allege some sort of misdoing or bribery on their part in establishing businesses in NYC, or anywhere else, for that matter, shows that folks know nothing about international relations and interactions.  Turkiye is a very beautiful country - rich in culture.  The mayor's visit is nothing underhanded, or untoward.  But, if you are gullible, or stuck on stupid, or subjected to inuendos - you really need to buy a clue!

Federal prosecutors and the F.B.I. are conducting a broad public corruption investigation into whether Mayor Eric Adams’s 2021 election campaign conspired with the Turkish government to receive illegal foreign donations, according to a search warrant obtained by The New York Times.

The investigation burst into public view on Thursday when federal agents conducted an early-morning raid at the Brooklyn home of the mayor’s chief fund-raiser, Brianna Suggs. Ms. Suggs is a campaign consultant who is deeply entwined with efforts to advance the mayor’s agenda.

Investigators also sought to learn more about the potential involvement of a Brooklyn construction company with ties to Turkey, as well as a small university in Washington, D.C., that also has ties to the country and to Mr. Adams.  Remember, Turkeye is an ally and a member of NATO.  So what is this about the construction company?

"According to the search warrant, investigators were also focused on whether the mayor’s campaign kicked back benefits to the construction company’s officials and employees, and to Turkish officials.

"The agents seized three iPhones and two laptop computers, along with papers and other evidence, including something agents identified as “manila folder labeled Eric Adams,” seven “contribution card binders” and other materials, according to the documents. There was no indication that the investigation was targeting the mayor, and he is not accused of wrongdoing. Yet the raid apparently prompted him to abruptly cancel several meetings scheduled for Thursday morning in Washington, D.C., where he planned to speak with White House officials and members of Congress about the migrant crisis.Instead, he hurriedly returned to New York “to deal with a matter,” a spokesman for the mayor said.Appearing at a Día de Muertos celebration at Gracie Mansion on Thursday night, Mr. Adams defended his campaign, saying that he held it “to the highest ethical standards.”He said he had not been contacted by any law enforcement officials, but pledged to cooperate in any inquiry. Mr. Adams said that he returned from Washington to be “on the ground” to “look at this inquiry” as it unfolded."

The warrant suggested that some of the foreign campaign contributions were made as part of a straw donor scheme, where donations are made in the names of people who did not actually give money.  (Actually, this is more of a T-rump ploy)! Investigators sought evidence to support potential charges that included the theft of federal funds and conspiracy to steal federal funds, wire fraud and wire fraud conspiracy, as well as campaign contributions by foreign nationals and conspiracy to make such contributions. (Actually, they should have been investigating T-rump and his menials for this - not Mayor Adams.  This is more from his playbook!)

Mr. Adams has boasted of his ties to Turkey, most recently during a flag-raising he hosted for the country in Lower Manhattan last week. The mayor said that there were probably no other mayors in New York City history who had visited Turkey as frequently as he has.

“I think I’m on my sixth or seventh visit,” he said. At least one of those visits happened while he was Brooklyn borough president, when the government of Turkey underwrote the excursion, The Daily News reported. Remember, Turkeye is an ally of the US?

I'm posting it here because we have a tendency to go for sound bytes - but the sin of omission is part of the reason we know so little and end up shooting ourselves in the foot:

Ms. Suggs, who could not be reached for comment, is an essential cog in Mr. Adams’s fund-raising machine, which has already raised more than $2.5 million for his 2025 re-election campaign.  A person with knowledge of the raid said agents from one of the public corruption squads in the F.B.I.’s New York office questioned Ms. Suggs during the search of her home. An F.B.I. spokesman confirmed that “we are at that location carrying out law enforcement action,” referring to Ms. Suggs’s home in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn.

The agents also served Ms. Suggs with a subpoena directing her to testify before a federal grand jury hearing evidence in Manhattan

The construction company was identified in the warrant,  as KSK Construction Group in Brooklyn, who listed  donated nearly $14,000 to Mr. Adams’s 2021 campaign, according to campaign finance records.

Charles Kretchmer Lutvak, a spokesman for Mr. Adams, said Ms. Suggs was not an employee of City Hall and referred calls to the mayor’s campaign team.

“The campaign has always held itself to the highest standards,” said Vito Pitta, a lawyer for Mr. Adams’s 2021 and 2025 campaigns. “The campaign will of course comply with any inquiries, as appropriate.”

Mr. Pitta added: “Mayor Adams has not been contacted as part of this inquiry.”

The search warrant sought financial records for Ms. Suggs and any entity controlled or associated with her; documents related to contributions to the mayor’s 2021 campaign; records of travel to Turkey by any employee, officer or associate of the campaign; and documents related to interactions between the campaign and the government of Turkey, “including persons acting at the behest of the Turkish government.”

Investigators specified documents relating to Bay Atlantic University, a tiny Turkish-owned institution that opened in Washington, D.C., in 2014. The following year, Mr. Adams visited one of the school’s sister universities in Istanbul, where he was given various certificates and was told that a scholarship would be created in his name.

The warrant also sought electronic devices, including cellphones, laptops or tablets used by Ms. Suggs.

Ms. Suggs, 25, is the latest in a series of individuals tied to Mr. Adams who have attracted interest from law enforcement, including several connected to the mayor’s fund-raising efforts.

The Department of Investigation is also investigating the role of one of the mayor’s top aides in a violent altercation last month at a migrant center in Manhattan.

Mr. Adams has tried to distance himself from these inquiries, arguing that he had limited insight into the events that precipitated them. But the investigation of such a close and longtime adviser might be harder to keep at arm’s length.

In the past two years, Mr. Adams’s re-election campaign has paid Ms. Suggs nearly $100,000 for fund-raising and campaign consulting services via her company, Suggs Solutions, according to city records.

Ms. Suggs worked as an aide to Mr. Adams when he was Brooklyn borough president, and is particularly close with Ingrid Lewis-Martin, who was his deputy at the time and is currently his top adviser.

Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn, the assemblywoman who leads the Brooklyn party, said Ms. Suggs was a volunteer fund-raiser who mainly handled logistics. She said she was surprised to learn of the F.B.I. raid.

“What I know of Brianna Suggs, she’s a bright young lady. I think she’s a very honest person, organized. She’s very mild-mannered, a very professional person,” Ms. Bichotte Hermelyn said. “She knows the rules.”

The White House appeared to have been taken by surprise. The mayor’s office called Thursday morning to inform them of the cancellation, a White House aide said.

“I can’t speak to his schedule and why he had to, he could not attend,” said Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House press secretary.

The mayor was scheduled to meet with representatives from Congress along with the mayor of Chicago, Brandon Johnson, and the mayor of Denver, Mike Johnston.

I said at the outset that Eric Adams is being investigated because he's Black - and I stick to that assertion!  I think it puzzles many caucasoids that an African American can travel to, and make friends in other countries.  They make it look as though there's nowhere in the world where we're welcome unless something underhanded was going on.

I find it interesting and equally damning that the former predator in chief, who was aided in stealing an election by enlisting Russian Ai Technology, visits Putin, Kim Jung Il and other despots on a regular basis, admires and quotes Hitler and others as though they were heroes, and not the degenerates they were, did not receive the same scrutiny.  And, yes, I include the MaraLago debacle in this mix. 

Mayor Adams is on the mark to move New York to higher levels - despite the efforts of Texas and Florida to dismantle our city by deporting people who have already been kicked around the globe - dumping them in New York as though they were throwaways. Their inhumanity should/must be dealt with.  It's a stain on the US that this is continuing to happen.

The effort to destabilize New York, to weaken the economy and pit native New Yorkers against those who have nowhere else to turn, has been a challenge that Mayor Adams has taken on without a lot of assistance from the government; and with the lack of understanding on the part of many fellow New Yorkers, who are likewise struggling to make it.  Trying to pile on more and more to see how much he can take before he breaks is not new in the game of maggot sabotage. It's nothing new!

What New Yorkers need/must do now is stand with him, and help in developing solutions to refugee problems! WE have to give him the benefit of our trust, and have his back when others are trying to stab him in it!

It ain't the first time they've tried to destroy New York!  We made it through Pataki; We made it through the  pandemic! And we will make it through the assaults on Mayor Eric Adams - and assault on Mayor Adams is an Assault on New York City!
