Hello All:
I NEED YOUR HELP - THIS IS A COMPUTER EMAIL EMERGENCY:
I hope I have some computer techies in the house. It seems that I've exceeded my 15GB of free storage space with Google/s gmail.
That said, I had to either open an additional account, free up space, or purchase additional storage- 100 GB at $1.99 per month.
Well, I did try freeing up space but it's rather tedious - even with the external hard drive; I also opened an additional account to take some of the load off; but I finally decided to bite the bullet and purchase the additional space - which I did around 3:30 this afternoon - because I was not able to send or receive mail - and my addresses were not porting over to the new address.
HOWEVER!!! It appears that, while Google/Gmail has taken my payment, they still have not opened or provided the additional storage space, as per the agreement.
I was told by their chat line that it would take 2 to 3 hours !!!
Why???
It only took them 20 seconds to take the payment from my credit card - and as I write this post, the issue is that it is now 6 hours since I made the payment, and still no additional storage - it shows on the chart, but it's not credited to my account - which is where I need it to be.
Does any one know how to deal with this problem? I tried their forum, but no one seems to have ever encountered such a dilemma. The chat line stated they were available 24/7 - however, when I tried to reach them later, they were "unavailable."
HELP please!!
By the way, they have an option to have them call you on your phone - which would have been great - but, then, when they called, the number was some weird concoctions that you could not call back - and that my phone would not recognize - check this out: +10000466453 -
Leave it to Google/Gmail to have a number that does not exist on the planet.

This would not have been an issue, had it not been for iCloud - which, in theory, is a wonderful thing. It's set up so that you don't have to duplicate your work - what you do at one site, is automatically replicated at other sites - i.e., your laptop or desk top; which is then replicated on your cell phone - which is then replicated on your tablet. What a wonderful technological world we live in! But there is such a thing as too much good - and in the instance of iCloud, that is exactly what I got.
There is a reason I have separate email accounts - they are for separate tasks. One is for my writing; another is strictly for family and close personal friends; and yet another is for real estate, non profit organizations and other interests on my part. And they all co-existed peacefully, side by side - not mixing or crashing - each doing its own thing. I was cool with that.
However, I recently switched from PC to MAC - thinking that there were some benefits that Apple offered that simply weren't available on the PC. And, truly, there are. And I was pleased to have the capacity to take advantage of them.
HOWEVER, what I was not warned about, nor was I prepared for was the iCloud phenomena.
Now I can hear all my MacBook users (including my kids) laughing themselves silly - but for me this is no laughing matter. It's like all of a sudden all the flood gates opened, and all the messages, mail, drop box items, that had been happily coexisting in their own little domains, suddenly came crashing in on my primary gmail account, and the next thing I knew, I had not only reached my limit, but had exceeded it by 106%!!! They should call it iCrowd, instead of iCloud. It's so overwhelmed my system, that I have not been able to get email for the past three days. This is ridiculous!!!
If I receive an email on my iphone, it's automatically uploaded on my gmail account, whether I wanted it to be or not! And if something came into one account, all the accounts had it at the same time. There has to be something that prevents this from automatically happening, or some way you can manage it so that it does not become an overbearing burden.
Sorry folks - but I really don't need that much replication. And the real problem is that it doesn't seem to stop.
Now I know that what I'm saying doesn't sit well with my computer geek friends and associates - but i really have to say that this has jeopardized my accounts.
I am actually looking for someone who knows how to deal with this and put things back in order - and at the same time, since I've already committed to paying for the additional 100GB of space, how to make sure that Google/Gmail - who pretty much operate from remote control - reinstates my account, so that I can continue writing and posting.
I know this can be somewhat comical for those of you who have grown up with Apple - but for those of us who have had the opportunity of working with both systems, this is really a pain in the rear.
If you know how to handle this madness, please hit me up on Facebook - since I can't get emails at my regular account - gloriadulanwilson@facebook.com Or, if you know how to deal with this kind of madness, please let me know - I'd truly appreciate it.
Thanks and
Stay Blessed
