HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANDSOME HUGH V!! WITH MUCH LOVE!

As a proud Grandmom of five - Yes 5!! - beautiful Grand People, I admit that you always remember your first Grandchild.  And for me that happened 17 years ago when Handsome Hugh V, was born.  He's named after his Dad, his Dad's Dad; his Dad's Dad's Dad, and the original Great-Great Grand Hugh I.  He, therefore, is now the fifth First Born Male Child in his family to have the honor of bearing the name HUGH.  Of course, being the first grand child also made him the first Great Grand Child in our family lineage.   
But, of course, at 17, he has much weightier matters to contend with than all these formalities - such as:  Does this now mean that I get to drive the car?  
So in the spirit of remembering what it was like to be 17, and because I am so extremely proud of him, I'm sharing this "poem" I put together in his honor (Can't you just see him?  He's tall, all angles, and quite the young man, just cringing knowing that his Maternal Grandmom (his Mom's Mom) has written a poem about him? 
But these are things Grandparents have the privilege of doing simply because we've lived long enough.  But also because they don't make decent Birthday Cards that truly express how much love a Grandmom has for her handsome, Black, 17 year old Grandson, who is a FINE BLACK MAN in the making.  (they should, but they don't).

Never give into fear of defeat
