EMERGENCY SOS: BROTHER GARLAND LEE THOMPSON IN THE HOSPITAL - NEEDS OUR HELP IMMEDIATELY, IF NOT SOONER

Hello All::

My Oklahoma Homie, actor, artist, activist, Garland Lee Thompson is in need of emergency help - and we're the ones who have to band together to make sure he receives it!  I just received this info and am posting it - please let's make sure this wonderful brother has all the help he needs.

HAA FOUNDING MEMBER, GARLAND LEE THOMPSONGarland Lee Thompson, one of the original members of The Frank Silvera's Writer's Workshop,(along with director Billie Allen, actor Morgan Freeman, and the late broadcaster Clayton Riley)  has led and shepherded this theatrical institution to support black theatre and other playwright's new works for 41 years, was hospitalized recently after a serious fall at home.


 


If you're someone Garland has ever helped, taught or supported, if you know someone he's helped, or if you just appreciate, and support his consistent, tireless service to the black theatre community,  American theatre, and the arts, this is a chance to give back to him in his hour of need.
