Hello All:
Today is September 8, 2020. I actually started writing this on August 28, but got sidelined by the oh so sudden passing of our beloved brother, Chadwick Boseman (may he rest in power). During that period of grief and shock, a great deal has transpired - mostly negative - under the repressive, authoritarian regime of T-rump. Which makes this mission even more compelling. But I'm apologizing in advance if it appears as though I'm repeating myself in some instances. These last few days have made me realize how really serious things are, and if we're not careful, we'll wake up on November 4, 2020 under totalitarian rule.
SO TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!
So I'm reversing my original format, and putting the end at the beginning:
The only way we can defeat T-rump at the polls is if we go and vote in person. And I can now hear you gasp and say what about Corona? My answer is this: What about fascism, racism, privation? This is what we will face if we don't defeat T-rump - and now that he has literally destroyed the US Postal Service, the option to vote by mail is likewise dead. Even if it was resurrected, would you want to trust them to give a true count under an ersatz hand picked incompetent Post master general, who actually has a lot to gain with the demise of the postal system?
So I am urging all those who are reading this Blog, to share it with your friends, neighbors, civic, civil rights, fraternity, sorority, religious organizations and begin putting together, right now - TODAY - MOBILE VOTERS to get your people to the polls. Find out where the new polling places are - because they've closed several since the corona virus hit - get face masks, sanitation products, elicit the assistance of your organizations - especially you in KENTUCKY - WHERE WE HAVE TO DEFEAT McCONNELL, SOUTH CAROLINA, where we have to oust GRAHAM - anywhere and every where there is a repuglycon running for anything - but especially those who have egregiously stood on the neck of President Barack Obama, and now on ours - with the aiding and abetting of T-rump - we must vote them all out, and we must regain and maintain the DEMOCRAT MAJORITY if we are to reverse this trajectory of destruction that we have been launched on by the current incumbent, his family, his contributors, and the racist base he routinely uses to keep things off balance.
The premise of MOBILE VOTERS is to coordinate and collaborate with churches and other entities to provide school bus or other transportation for voters to and from the polls. So many voters no longer know where to vote, that you need to find out where the polling places are - many have been closed as a result of the plandemic - and set up appointments to pick up your voters, take them to the polls, wait and return them home once they've completed voting. This is better than bringing chairs - which will also be necessary, once they get there - but the biggest issue will be getting them there. This is also, hopefully, the antidote to voter apathy where we lose so many voters who think their votes don't count!
MOBILE VOTERS volunteers can inform voters of where their new polling places are; schedule appointments for them to be picked up via vote vans, practicing wearing face masks and social distancing - transporting them to their place to vote; let them vote, then return them to their homes. These can be done on a rotational basis. Emphasis will be placed on new voters, voters who rely on mass transit, voters who have ambulatory problems. In fact, perhaps we can arrange to have Black Lives Matter demonstrators, take the buses to their respective polls, vote, and return them to their place of demonstration. Because Black Votes Matter as well.
The MOBILE VOTERS can also be organized for urban, suburban and rural areas; and for those who are in homeless shelters, but are registered to vote; returning ex-offenders, who are not sure where to vote, or are voting for the first time since incarceration can also be transported to their respective polling places. For those seniors confined to senior citizen care centers, and those who are hospitalized, their votes can either be collected two weeks in advance of the actual election, so they can be submitted in time for counting; or arrangements can be made to pick them up on Non Emergency Medical Transportation buses, let the vote, and return them to their centers/homes.
WE CAN DO THIS!!
Here we are - less than 2 months from the election! Things are getting crazier. Our postal system has been compromised. So what do we do? Do we roll over and play dead during the most crucial election in the history of the 21st century thus far? Or do we bite the bullet and stand up, pick up our courage, and fight back? We had better fight back unless we want to end up in the same plight Germans faced when they let Hitler rule. And Nazism is not a good look on us.
My Grandmom used to say: "One Monkey Don't Stop Now Show." I now say ONE MONKEY DON'T STOP OUR VOTES!"
Our mail system has been dismantled! They think we're stymied. But we are putting together VOTER MOBILES!! In the South, they call it SOULS TO THE POLLS!! WISCONSIN has Buses to the Polls! We in the north are kind of on the late show - but not for long. We play catch up beautifully and then exceed expectations.
You know what time it is! Time to organize our communities to transport voters - young, old, Black, white, Latino, Asian, male, female - to the polls. We can do this!! We can put together collaborative cadres of volunteers and use buses, vans, Uber, Lift, individuals, sororities, fraternities, Civil Rights orgaizations, civic groups - and recruit those people who have been told that they didn't count, and neither did their votes. We will, of course wearing, our masks, using our hand sanitizers - and providing for all the requisite safety matters - we must nevertheless take ourselves, our neighbors, our friends and families physically and personally to the polls!
The one thing they cannot dispute or miscount is in-person voting. We have to do this, or allow our rights to be hijacked and continue to try to survive under a repressive government run by a megalomaniacal fool. He is counting on our feeling helpless, frightened, confused, apathetic, intimidated - even lazy, cynical, and suspicious. He is counting on us dropping the ball for a myriad of lame excuses and reasons. He thinks he has us backed in a corner, down for the count and incapacitated. T-rump, McConnell, Graham, and the rest of his henchmen, know that if we vote, they lose.
But if we don't vote, we lose - and no pandemic in hell will be as destructive as living under 4 more years of T-rump!!
Just so you'll know, this is not the first time that Black communities have used vote vans or transportation programs to get people to and from the polls. It was used very effectively in the community of Altadena, CA in the 70s; which at the time was predominantly Black, but all the elected officials were caucasian. Most of the polling places were located in heavily populated white neighborhoods; there was little to no transportation in the upper levels of Altadena. When the vote vans were announced (this was 20 years before computers, faxes, or emails) the turn out of Black voters was a paltry 20%. The vote vans caused the turn out to increase by 60%. The vans were non-partisan. MOBILE VOTERS will likewise be "non-partisan" in terms of providing transportation, however, in this case, we are backing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
We have to make this happen. The Repuglycons are predicting that 60% of their voters will turn out to the polls versus 22% of the Democrats. We must reverse those stats, and at the same time increase them, so that we get 80% of our voters out to the polls!
Now that we know what it takes to keep us safe, and understand the rules of social distancing, we can make this happen. There will be an all out full court press to notify, inform and involve the community. So there is a role for everyone to play. Phone calls, appointments, putting together flyers, door hangers, and operate through churches and civic organizations to begin to inform and solicit riders. One thing we all have to be involved in is debunking scare tactics that are being foisted on Black and Brown Americans about COVID19 by assuring them that we will be taking the proper precautions.
So here we are - less than 2 months from the election. Things are getting crazier. And our postal system has been compromised. So what do we do? Unfortunately, our legislators don't have the numbers it takes to stop this madness. Another reason we have to vote - like we did in 2018 to put them back in the majority. The current US Senate is infested with repuglycons - misled by Mitch McConnell - which is why one of the target places for MOBILE VOTERS IS KENTUCKY!! As a result of McConnell's deliberate negligence - blocking - of equitable remedies that would benefit Americans, we have lost on every level. So if you are waiting for Congress to be able to rid us of the ersatz postmaster, you can forget it. Look at the wimpy inquiry by the Democratic party of the machinations of T-rump's hired hitman cum postmaster general - Louis DeJoy - who was brough on with the express instructions to dismantle the US Postal Service - which he proceeded to do without any compunction.
The US Postal Service, seemingly protected by the Constitution, has now been eviscerated to such an extent that many voters would be taking a major risk at this point to try to vote by mail. This is as intended - T-rump has been warning America since November 2019, that he was going to dismantle the USPS. In fact, prior to the massive outbreak of the COVID-19 plandemic, in February 2020, he once again launched a diatribe against the postal service, and that he would begin dismantling it by June. I kept waiting for our legislators - right and left wing - to do or say something. No one did.
Once again, they either underestimated how nefarious he would be; or they were in cahoots with him. When June came, so did DeJoy; and slowly, but surely our mail started coming up missing. Now the full on frontal attack against the USPS has been launched by T-rump via DeJoy, including dismantling of sorters, removing mail boxes from the street, slowing up deliveries. And, while DeJoy said he will stop dismantling the sorters, he has no intention of returning the mailboxes - and here we are once again America - standing there, mouths gaping open, looking aghast at T-rump, trying to figure out what to do now?
Even our media pundits don't have the backbone to call it for what it is. Instead they say insipid stuff like, "If president T-rump is able to stop the mail, and people are not able to vote by mail because of the lack of delivery - he will win." REALLY!!! What the sam hill is the matter with them?
Last I checked, tampering with, or destroying the US mail is a federal offense. Additionally, I think, unless things have changed that drastically, there is still such a thing as ethics that are supposedly part of the US presidency and in the operation of a presidential election.
Could it be that we take our sports more seriously than we do our national presidential election? You mean to tell me that if an individual is colluding with foreign agents, blocking votes by destroying ballots, and deliberately reducing the number of polling places to thwart Black voter turn out - that's okay! But if a basketball, football, or baseball player is caught doping, spitballing, elbowing, gouging and other egregious "unsportsman" acts on the court or fields, he or she can and will be ejected from the game; the game can be forfeited, the player can be fined -and may even be put out of the league. Folks are up in arms. They talk about it on the sports shows and in the press ad nauseum. But we allow a fat fart who collaborates with Russians, bribes the electoral college, lies faster than a cat can lick his face - we give him a pass. These are not allegations - these have been proven - he has been caught red handed. But he's still in the game. Again, what the sam hill is the matter with us?
When he announced that he was against mail in votes because no repuglycon would win under those circumstances, most Americans shrugged their shoulders and thought, he's not going to mess with the mail system. This is the same person who told folks to use bleach during a plandemic to rid themselves of Coronavirus; who refused to provide PPEs for our first responders; basically told New York and other cities to drop dead. It shows that somewhere along the way America has become technologically overloaded, and no longer operate on the basis of the intelligence, common sense, and clarity God blessed them with.
If our votes weren't important and essential, they wouldn't be going to such lengths to deprive us of them. They wouldn't be lying, trying to start race riots in order to frighten Americans. But our biggest fear is to allow T-rump 4 more years. That makes all the zombie, hunger games, and other horrific movies you watch on TV look like a piece of cake.
It is clear that the T-rump administration and its henchmen from the repuglycon party are hell bent on hijacking the upcoming presidential election by any means necessary - legal or illegal - emphasis on his predilection towards the illegal; regardless of who it hurts. He has basically indicated by his actions that he has total disdain for the voters of the US; and even moreso for Black voters. This has been cosigned by the Subprime court of America, who eviscerated the voting rights bill signed into law by President Lyndon Baines Johnson (LBJ) in 1965.
T-rump gives new meaning to the term "authoritarian personality," which is more along the hitlerian /nazi/fascist style - and basically keeps the American populace off balance by doing the unthinkable, and then saying "try and stop me." He uses a special form of sleight of hand, misdirection, and projection - accusing the victims of doing what, in fact, he is guilty of (reminiscent of Machiavelli's the "Prince," who was the epitome of evil and manipulation).
Now, it's not like we didn't know! New Yorkers knew! - Lefrak City basically kept Black people from renting - as well as other properties under the T-rump logo. The Central Park Five knew. His former wives knew. And, former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton warned us fully in 2015 and 2016 - but we didn't listen! Most of us were too busy looking at the money, not the individual.
We allowed their subversive propaganda, coupled by the fact that we, the "reasonable people," thought it "unthinkable" that anyone in this day and age and in their "right mind" would do such terrible things. So he operated on the side of suspended disbelief, while we and the media made such insipid excuses for his behavior, calling it "childish" behavior, which is an insult to children everywhere. His gaffs and treachery were labeled "shenanigans," which is more in line with harmless, but annoying pranks; when what he has actually done has been lethal, unethical and life threatening.
It appears that the old saying, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me," has totally gone out the window, because T-rump is constantly and continuously making fools out of America, the law makers, the people - even his sychophants who constantly kiss his pasty derriere. And they are sitting there, shaking their heads, talking about it incessantly (which pleases the narcissistic T-rump who loves to be the center of conversation, regardless of whether it's good or bad) - instead of taking action to get around it - or stop it completely.
The news media is in collusion by not dealing head on with this egregious behavior (with the possible exception of MSNBC and CNN, who finally found their backbone and began to call it for what it was). Thanks to T-rump, the US's standing the world hovers somewhere between zero and minus zero. In fact, for the first time, Americans are not welcome anywhere in the world.
Before President Obama's campaign ushered in an expansion of voting opportunities - including vote by mail, and early voting - to stimulate an otherwise apathetic American voting populace, Black people were basically sitting on their hands, or cynically throwing away their rights by the hands full , using the self defeating excuse that their vote didn't count. (This, by the way, is how we got stuck with the Bush-wacker family). I never thought I would live to see the day that we would actually long even for the incompetent Bush I and II. And I know that we absolutely wish for the days of the Obama Administration.
But, moving forward, we are absolutely determined to make sure that the BIDEN/HARRIS ticket wins on November 3rd.
To that end, the anticipated results of thwarting our right to Vote by Mail - that Americans increasingly have endorsed - by hiring a hit-man/business adversary, to literally destroy the postal service through dictating that postal workers no longer sort, deliver or pick up our mail is heinous, egregious and evil!!! (I personally can attest to the fact that this is happening in real time, and that I have not received my mail for more than 2 1/2 months!).
These actions would call for an immediate arrest had this been under other circumstances. But T-rump is thumbing his nose at America. He is known for deliberately hiring, aiding and abetting known criminals and miscreants, and putting incompetents in positions of responsibility.
It should also be noted that if the mendacious ersatz president is declaring, in advance, that these are the things that he is doing to circumvent the vote, and the most the meanstream media can do is talk about "if he does this, he will win," obviates the fact that what he is doing is both illegal and unethical; and should/must not be tolerated under any circumstances. Anyone committing such acts should be immediately arrested - including the ersatz president. (In fact, if this was a third world country, America would be sending in watchers to keep the despots honest, and monitoring the tampering of votes and threats to voters).
If we had been invaded by another country and this was foisted upon us, the US Armed forces would have by now come together to oust the interloper and protect Americans from such acts of aggression.
The fact the the meanstream media continuously "reports T-rump's" actions makes you wonder what they're smoking, who's pulling their strings, what has happened to journalism, and how much are they being paid to not tell the real news. Just so you'll know, T-rump is one of them, to some extent, by virtue of the fact that he has had several TV shows, manipulates audiences, and is part of the old boy club of producers. This is why they are more likely than not to handle him with kid gloves, and toss him a side eye, without coming down on him in the manner it would any other traitor.
But, given the machinations of T-rump to ransack the economy, wreck the US Postal System (which, by the way, is Unconstitutional), intimidate Black and Brown voters, bribe the electoral college, circumvent news with Russian Bots, and other nefarious, inappropriate acts of sabotage, we are going to have to roll up our sleeves and go to plan BPF = Black People First, and devise our own Guerilla voting tactics in the age of Coronavirus.
I hope this time we will wake up and get this done. (I circulated a petition to keep T-rump's hands off the USPS on May 25, that was supposed to circulated nationally by MoveOn).
We need to contact the various organizations, entertainers, Sports figures, and other entities to make this a national move - providing them with the incentive of "no more years!" "no more years!" (by the way, for those of you in Florida, did you know that Miami/Dade turned down the Miami Heat basketball team's offer to allow their arena to be used for voting. Still think they aren't trying to prevent you from voting - you can look for these kinds of machinations in states that are run/ruined by repuglycon misleadership.
You have to stand up! We have to stand up!
If no one else will save us, we have to save ourselves!!
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Organize VOTER MOBILES in your area - or contact SOULS TO THE POLLS, or any other LEGITIMATE organization that is working diligently to protect and preserve your right and responsibility to vote.
To that end, it must also be noted that while I personally have my own political partisan preferences, MOBILE VOTERS Project is strictly non partisan - and will transport all voters, regardless of their political affiliation. Voting is an American right, and responsibility. Regardless of party we are all affected by the hijacking of voting by mail. We are all deprived of our right - and we are all in this together.
We not only have to think outside the box, we have to also get out the box! We have to use guerilla vote tactics and get around the racist rules that are supposed to intimidate us.
And remember, the MOBILE VOTERS may also possibly be used to take people to their local bureau of voter registration so they can register, or re-register, en masse - which might be something that Atlanta and other areas who have been deliberately and illegally purged from the rolls must do before the deadlines. But, don't mail it in. Hand deliver it! Get it stamped! Make sure you then follow up by knowing where you are supposed to vote and either take the VOTER MOBILE or go on your own. MAKE IT A PARTY - VOTE AND THEN DO A PARKING LOT CELEBRATION!! You know how we do!
It's time to get into GOOD TROUBLE, develop the MOBILE VOTERS and VOTE! AND WIN AND CELEBRATE!
