Tune in to WPFW.FM WAKE UP & STAY WOKE to Discuss the Unorthodox Dismissal of Ambassador Arikana Chihombori 10:00AM October 16th

By Gloria Dulan-Wilson

Hello All:

The sudden and unorthodox dismissal of the most effective and charismatic leader of the African Union, Ambassador Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao,  recently has set off a firestorm of  shock and disbelief, followed by anger and consternation throughout Africa and the Diaspora.  I personally have had more than 700 messages on my WhatsApp in less than 3 days.

Petitions are being circulated demanding her reinstatement as Africans, African Americans, and other interested entities have come together to send a signal that they are not going to countenance the continued abuse of power by former european colonizers who have interfered - hopefully for the last time, if they get their way - in the business and well being of Africa.

As more and more African American expatriate to the Motherland, and Dr. Chihombori-Quao speaks truth to power, the predators who have been draining Africa's resources for over four hundred years, are become more and more apprehensive of losing their stranglehold over the continent.

It is theorized that Dr. Chihombori-Quao's speech about France's draining french speaking African countries of their resources, and forcing them to pay exorbitant taxes was the motivation for forcing her removal.

Such luminaries as former Ghanian president, Jerry John Rawlings, immediately weighed in on the transparent move to censor her and silence any Africans who stood for the independence and autonomy of Africans.

In less than 3 days since her dismissal, more than 100,000 and counting have signed the petition for her reinstatement to her post, immediately, if not sooner.  This dismissal may very well be the straw that broke the camel's back.

At her request, I will be a guest on Dr. Efaye Williams talkshow, WAKE UP AND STAY WOKE,  at 10:00AM today, October 16, as we discuss the impact Dr. Chihimbori has had during her tenure, and the necessity for her continuing in the position of leadership.  We will also discuss what Africa will lose if she doesn't begin to close ranks on outside interference in her destiny and choice of leadership.

Tune in to  WPFW/Pacifica Radio, 89.3fm;  wpfwfm.org; @WPFWDC

BELOW ARE SOME OF THE  RECENT STATEMENTS AND RELEASES I'VE RECEIVED IN CONNECTION WITH THIS ISSUE:
*COLONIZING AFRICA IN PERPETUITY: The New Twist in French πŸ‡«πŸ‡· Strategy*

_In 1958, France physically removed their portable Gypsy homes from Guinea-ConakryπŸ‡¬πŸ‡³, Guinea-Bissau πŸ‡¬πŸ‡Ό, and Mali πŸ‡²πŸ‡±, to leave them without even chairs in their Presidential offices to sit on. Let alone desks to write on._

_*The British-colonized Africa like Ghana πŸ‡¬πŸ‡, Nigeria πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬, Kenya πŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ, Tanzania πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡Ώ, etc sought for collective decision making and smoother transition of supervised indigenous rule. The French-colonized Africa remained under existential bondage. The colonized, oppressed, marginalized, and perpetually enslaved African did not see anything wrong and accepted their conditions as normal, and even thought they were better than the other side. The enlightened and better educated ones like Senegal πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡³, The Guineas, Mali πŸ‡²πŸ‡±, and Burkina Faso πŸ‡§πŸ‡« erected stiff opposition to France πŸ‡«πŸ‡·. And so, France targeted the hapless African colonies under its control, educated few to avoid the Senegalese impasse, and manipulated them big time. No foreign news report whatsoever permitted in them other than the Agence Francaise Presse (AFP). French apartheid education was strictly controlled by and within France.*_

_It is extremely unimaginable to have Goukonni ouadeyye’s ChadianπŸ‡ΉπŸ‡© product, Moussa Faki Mahamat, strategically placed at the heart ❤ of African affairs, for France πŸ‡«πŸ‡· to gain access to manipulate Africa. This is unbelievable! Where are the architects of African civilization—Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia, Tanzania, etc.—for real time governance? Chad? Please, Can someone feature the image of Goukonni Ouadeyye here for views. People like Moussa Faki Mahamat can never be weaned from classical mental slavery. We shouldn’t be surprised to have Gabon πŸ‡¬πŸ‡¦ or CAR or Comoros πŸ‡°πŸ‡² manipulate Africa in the very near future. Africa is calibrated by France. We need dynamic leadership to dismantle the the French canker. France is within and among us._

_*We need to fight the new French menace. If We Don’t Fight it Now, When? If I Don’t Have The Right to Do it, Who Will? Take on France πŸ‡«πŸ‡· in the language she understands!*_

This is just a sample of the over 700 posts I'm receiving nearly every 5 minutes on my WhatsApp - This is the beginning of the consolidation of African energies to bring on the new autonomy and break the yoke of post colonial domination.  The age of African apathy is gone - there is an air of activism and autonomy forming, as the push back against those who have complied and compromised with oppressive forces, while Africa's wealth, health, intelligence, creativity, and culture are exploited.
Reach out to your fellow African Brothers and sisters and offer your assistance in getting the petitions signed and helping Africa wake up and shake loose the chains of oppression.

ACTION ALERT: SIGN THE PETITION TO REINSTATE AMBASSADOR ARIKANA CHIHOMBORI AS HEAD OF THE THE AU

By Gloria Dulan-Wilson

Hello All:
I am posting this entire article - I am so furious at this point at how stupid our African brothers and sisters can be - and this time it's in real time in the 21st century, on camera, in front of our faces!!!

They have been trying to push this fantastic sister out ever since she started trying to move Africa toward progressive independence and autonomy, and away from bootlicking subjects who are still tied to their oppressors.  Moving them away from the feckless fools who have allowed the Chinese to come in and take over their country, instead of using their own ingenuity to consolidate their resources, energies, talents and develop their own countries.
She is who stood in the fray and dared to say that Africans can do whatever it is they put their minds to.  She stood for education, health, nutrition, development - by Africans (and the DIASPORA, for Africans in Africa).

No wonder the enemy wanted her removed.

From the moment I met this wonderful sister, I was  and am totally impressed.  None of her predecessors have the insight, or the fortitude to take the stands she did.  No wonder the Chinese and the euro-oppressors wanted her removed.

Well this should not and must not stand.  And we must make sure they know that we are not only watching, but taking action as well!!!

The removal of Dr. Chihombori-Quao means that she was not only on the right track, but having a major affect on how things were progressing in Africa.  For once the doors were opening between African Americans and Africans, and synergy was not only happening, but progress was being made in terms of IntraAfrican development.

I'm calling on Black Churches, Fraternities, Sororities, Civic organizations, Diasporan organizations, College and university students from Africa as well as here - all our voices matter

Sign the petition

So sign the petition - talk it up in your newspapers, look up her record and I'm sure you'll agree that we must demand that they Reinstate Dr. ARIKANA CHIHOMBORI-QUAO AS HEAD OF THE AFRICAN UNION - IMMEDIATELY, IF NOT SOONER!!

I am posting the entire article - please feel free to reprint and share it with those in your sphere of influence.   or copy and paste this link:

Reinstate African Union Ambassador Chihombori-Quao!

African Diaspora Demands Reinstatement Of Dr Arikana Chihombori-Quao After Unjust Removal from Office.
After almost a year of persuading her to assume leadership as the African Union (AU) Permanent Ambassador in the United States representing the 55 countries of the Union, Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao accepted the position in December 2016 and has led with courage and vigor in galvanizing peoples of African Descent. Dr. Chihombori-Quao has spoken globally to sensitize and empower all peoples of African Descent to come together and build the “Africa We Want” as adopted in African Union Agenda 2063.

The unification of the African Diaspora as espouded in AU Agenda 2063 is contrary to the Africa that has been marginalized and pillaged through inequitable colonial and post-colonial contracts. Dr. Arikana has been outspoken about neo-colonial maneuverings and exploitation that still exist today. Her dissemination of the truth has garnered her attention and support around the world (you can watch one of her famous speeches published by American journalist, Roland S. Martin, here). You can learn more about Dr. Chihombori-Quao on her Wikipedia page here.

However, not everyone is embracing her bold but honest discourses for effecting change for the betterment of Africa.  On October 7th, 2019, Ambassador Quao was relieved of her position as the “Permanent Ambassador” in a unilateral decision made by the African Union Commission Chairman without any hearing or explanation, and yet presented as representing the opinions of all 55 countries. The questions are: why was she dismissed, or better, who benefits from her removal? Were African heads of states and governments consulted? Who called the shot? Or is Africa, and peoples of African descent, still facing the debilitating effects of modern colonialism or neocolonialism? Leadership based on self-interest and preservation that does not benefit the people they serve is no longer acceptable. Here is a copy of the termination letter.

Dr. Chihombori-Quao was treasured by her African Diaspora and was successful in uniting African people to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development. She was quite effective in providing access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels just as stated in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).  She is a symbol of hope not only for the African Diaspora, but for humankind as we enter this season of justice for all people.

People of African Descent around the world are appalled by Dr. Chihombori-Quao’s unjust dismissal.  Instead of dismantling her movement to liberate the people of African Descent from colonialism and pursue financial freedom, her dismissal has galvanized African Diaspora in the spirit of UBUNTU – I am because you are!

The petition against undue influence and pressure exerted on African leaders and people by the former colonial powers of Europe calls for Dr. Chihombori-Quao’s immediate reinstatement to her position and an apology from the AU Commission. We in the Diaspora were even hoping that Dr Arikana would accept future call for a greater role in the African Union as the African Diaspora continues their journey toward liberation from mental slavery.  Her Excellency, Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao is an effective leader who should be encouraged for her courage and steadfastness, not dismissed.  Who besides her is willing to stand for justice?
We Need Your Support and Signature.

We invite you to share this message and sign the petition.  We demand her reinstatement as well as a formal letter of apology from the African Union Commission. We are petitioning the African presidents and Heads of States to get involved in this matter. The silent majority will no longer be silent as this issue symbolizes the need for equity and justice for all people in Africa, the Americas, and around the world.

Chika Onyeani of the African Sun Times Urges Africans to Participate in Conference Call on Global Agenda 2063 March 15, 2015

By Gloria Dulan-Wilson

These are heady times for Africa, as they stand at the crossroads of their future.  More and more are focused on what the best mode is for them in the future - should they become autonomous, and shed the yoke of colonialism once and for all, or should they continue to be at the prey of private interest groups whose real agenda is to continue controlling Africa's vast resources, while under the guise of being her benefactors.  This and more was the topic when Dr. Chika Onyeani, publisher of the African Sun Times sat down to an interview with Voice of America.

Dr. Chika Onyeani Publisher of The African Sun Times

Not only does it make an interesting read, but it highlights several concerns about the involvement of African citizens themselves in the plans for Africa's future.
There is an opportunity to be a part of a massive conference call to discuss the future of Africa.

I will just say for the record that when I heard that the proposed progress for Africa was pushed to 50 years from 2013, I was totally appalled.  Who came up with that idea as a workable goal?  Does that mean that Africans will be so slow in their progress that it will take them 50 years to catch up to the rest of the world?  And what of the people who are currently working towards that end - how many of us will be alive to witness such a victory?  Also, why not incremental 5year and 10 year plans as other countries have done?  And at what point does Africa reign in the internecine battles that are taking the lives of so many innocent people, and begin to either get them involved in nation building, or isolated from the rest of the people who want peace, progress, poise and prosperity for their posterity?

Personally, I have hopes for being part of a United Continent of Africa in my lifetime, having been involved with African brothers and sisters since my college days; having attended Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, a college that gave Africa two of their presidents - Nnamdi Azikewe of Nigeria, and Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana; and immersed myself in African studies. We should have long since resolved most of these problems.  When Africa begins to look after her own self enlightened interest and development, as Ghanaian President Mahama has recommended, and not seek the approval of outsiders who are only looking after their own pocketbooks while exploiting her wealth and abundance, African people will begin to thrive, grow, and provide for themselves.  Africa's leaders must begin putting the best interest of their people first, and bringing people to the table regardless of what their level of education is.  It's time to bring our collective, eclectic cultural, intellectual, educational, technological, and political forces together to harvest the vast resources for ourselves that are being stolen right out from under our very noses.

It's time to teach those Africans at home who don't know, and employ those who do - in much the same way the Japanese did when they began to build their country into the creative, technological giant it has become.  African has the capacity to do the same and then some.

I am interested in those of you who are reading this commentary and the article below providing your commentary, thoughts and recommendations for Africa's future development.  Please feel free to email me at gloriadulanwilson@gmail.com

Africans Urged to Take Part in Global Agenda 2063 Conference Call

South African Home Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma addresses the media during the leaders meeting at the African Union (AU) in Addis Ababa July 15, 2012. South African Home Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma addresses the media during the leaders meeting at the African Union (AU) in Addis Ababa July 15, 2012.

James Butty
On January 24th, African Union Commission Chairperson Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma released her vision for Africa’s future.

The African Agenda 2063 seeks to rekindle the passion for Pan-Africanism. It calls for promotion of peace and stability, expansion of agricultural production, inclusive economic development and industrialization, and mainstreaming women and youth participation in African Union activities.

On Saturday (March 15), Africans worldwide are being invited to attend a conference call to discuss Dlamini-Zuma’s vision.

Chika Onyeani, publisher of the New York-based African Sun Times newspaper, and chairman of the Celebrate Africa Foundation, said this is the time for all Africans to make their voices heard.

“This conference call is not about intellectuals.  We want every African to participate.  For too long, this has been consigned to the intellectual class. We want business people to participate; we want the women to participate; we want the youth to participate in this discussion of the future of Africa,” he said.

Onyeani said Africans should stop depending on their leaders to always decide issues for them because most of those leaders have their own agendas.

“It is up to us, if we want to be the sixth region (of Africa) to be a legally constituted part of the African Union, it’s up to the Africans not only in the Diaspora but all over the world to say, ‘Yes,’ and this discussion should be part of how do we get our so-called sixth region to be a legally constituted part of the African Union,” he said.

Onyeani says the most important thing about the conference call is that the African Union does not have to spend a dime.  He said the African Union did not ask him to organize the discussion.

Onyeani said, had ordinary Africans been involved in issues affecting their continent, perhaps the African Union would not have gotten money from China to build the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

“Can you imagine what would have happened if we had had this type of discussion before?  Would Africans have agreed for the Chinese to bring a paltry $200 million to build our headquarters?  It’s a total disgrace.  People make fun of Africa because of that,” Onyeani said.

The Agenda 2063 foresees a fully functional African common market with free movement of people, goods, capital and services.  It also calls for the establishment of a single domestic market, Pan-African Economic and Monetary Union, with a single African central bank, currency and parliament.

It also foresees a “transformed continent where economic growth is translated in wealth and employment creation, guided by sustainable environmental policies.”

The document would also “address the root causes of conflicts, including economic and social disparities, and address the plight of internally displaced persons and refugees.”

Agenda 2063 makes little or no mention of the ongoing fight against official corruption in Africa.

Onyeani said the fight against corruption would be one of the priorities under the new United States of Africa.  But, he said Africans must get involved in determining the future of their continent.

“These are some of the issues that the people of Africa, through this discussion, would be able to talk about.  Africans should make their voices heard about corruption,” Onyeani said.

He said Africans everywhere would be able to join the conference call on Saturday.

“On the east coast (of the US), it would be at 5 pm EDT; on the west coast, it would be at 2 pm and in the Central region, it will be at 4 pm.  Of course, from Ghana, that would be at 9 pm; from South Africa that would be at 11 pm; from Nigeria at 10 pm; from Addis Ababa it would be at 12 am (Sunday)” Onyeani said.
