only weeks left before voters head to
the polls, and as the public-at-large and Black voters in particular
are targeted with an unprecedented volume of disinformation,
award-winning civil rights attorney, author, advocate and television
personality Areva
Martin will take her hit online series The Special Report with Areva Martin on
the road for tapings in key battleground states across the country.
So mark your calendars and make sure you share these dates with your associates, friends and family - and be on site yourself. We cannot win sitting on the sidelines or on the couch.

voters are a cornerstone of our democracy, and ensuring they receive
accurate, unbiased information is essential to empowering their voices
and safeguarding their rights. When our communities are equipped with
the facts, we strengthen the foundation of fair elections and create a
path toward real, lasting change,” said Ianthe Jones, executive producer of The Special Report. “Programming
like The Special Report is critical to dissecting and countering
those narratives, and we are bringing our show into critical
communities that will have an outsized impact on Election Day.”

election season. We launched The Special Report during the Covid-19
pandemic with the intention of countering
false narratives and educating the public. We are experts at helping
individuals to navigate the maze of lies and falsehoods – and
to examine the context that makes people vulnerable to
these insidious campaigns.”
The Battleground
State Tour will be produced by Ianthe Jones, the Emmy and NAACP Image
Award-nominated media executive who has helmed projects featuring Queen
Latifah, Mary J. Blige, Steve Harvey and Dr. Phil, and by Christopher
Slated for seven (7) live upcoming episodes for the new season, The Special Report will
be taping from October 10 through October 30 before
live audiences in swing state cities including Phoenix, AZ, Las Vegas,
NV, Milwaukee, WI, Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, Detroit, MI, and
Philadelphia, PA. Martin will bring her signature interview style to
draw out panelists and confront the questions and misinformation
that are sowing controversy, uncertainty and apathy among critical
voting blocks. Civic leaders, elected officials and influencers will
tackle the issues head-on while encouraging key demographics to
participate and vote in the upcoming election. Each episode
will also feature a surprise celebrity guest.
The
tour kicked off in July with a special taping in Martin’s hometown of
St. Louis, Missouri, where panelists included St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones,
President & CEO of the Regional Arts Commission Vanessa Cooksey and Emmy Award-winning anchor Sharon Reed.
These
live events will be complemented by a robust social media campaign that
will reach millions of voters and will serve to combat the
disinformation
on social media sites, such as X and Instagram.
The Special Report is
available on YouTube and Facebook and appeals to a wide demographic of
male and female viewers. Areva Martin is also a contributor on CNN & ABC News, with over 1 million online followers reaches
approximately 80 million American households each week.

Philadelphia, by now you are well aware that PENNSYLVANIA is a "Battleground State." What that means is that we are sitting on the fence, and can either do the right thing, or shoot ourselves in the foot by doing nothing, or doing the wrong thing. We've been in this society long enough to know the hell our people endured; and how many fought and died for us to have, be and do better.
I've been told that Philadelphia is the "hole in the donut. We are the power in the center of detractors. We are in the eye of the storm. It is up to us to deliver our votes unsullied by the hostility of the meanstream mediocre media menials, and T-rump liars. They are trying to divide Black Men from Black Women; diseducate our children, spew lies about our brothers and sisters from Africa, Haiti, the Caribbean to keep us from consolidating our wisdom, power, knowledge, creativity, and economic wherewithal! We have to make our presence and power known - not only through our voices, but THROUGH OUR VOTES - We know what happens when we sit on the sidelines and allow others to manipulate our lives. We end up on the short end of the stick. We end up as the losers.
Tell the devil not today!! We are Victors - not Victims. We not only have to show up for AREVA MARTIN'S SHOW, but we must start now - if we haven't already done so - registering to vote, getting our mail in ballots, finding out where our polling places are - in case they've been relocated, and bringing at least 5 or more of our friends or relatives with us to vote.
You can set up a mail in vote party and everyone fill out their ballots at the same time, and deliver them - IN PERSON (if possible) to the USPS. If you have seniors in your family - or they're bedridden - help them register online for their mail in ballot - and help them get it in the mail.
Knowing that the repuglycons are trying to block your votes, and in many states, are secretly purging them, go online to I WILL VOTE and check to make sure you're still registered. If your name is missing - make sure you re-register right now!
For those of you who say they don't know enough about VP KAMALA HARRIS - check her information out on GOOGLE or YOUTUBE! WE ARE IN THE NEW AGE OF INFORMATION.
While social media may have some issues that include mis-information and dis-information - we cannot use that as an excuse for not doing our own DUE DILIGENCE (i.e. DO YOUR HOMEWORK). In much the same way you would when you want to get to a concert, find out about a new style, take your time to learn - and then SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE with your friends and family. Please dont' watch Fox False News - or those like being spewed out by T-rump or his supporters.
ALSO YOU MUST REALIZE THAT WE NOT ONLY NEED TO VOTE KAMALA HARRIS FOR OUR NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, BUT WE MUST ELECT - OR RE-ELECT - OUR CONGRESSMEN AND WOMEN to House of Representative, US Senators, Judges, Attorneys General - DEMOCRATS - Up and down the ballot - This is no time to split our ballot.
We have seen what happens when we have a DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENT, AND THE REST OF THE REPRESENTATIVES ARE REPUGLYCONS - IT MAKES IT MORE DIFFICULT TO GET THINGS DONE. WE HAVE TO MAKE SURE WE VOTE ACROSS THE BOARD AND EMPOWER OUR PRESIDENT TO GET THE JOB DONE!
