GUEST PODCAST - 1929 Police Brutality Against Lincoln U Students - Black Lives Didn't Matter






I received this podcast from Lincoln Alumna Veronica Carr (2016).   
 
This is a rewind into the history of Lincoln University very few of us have the privilege of knowing about.  And it happened in Brooklyn, NY!   
 
As I listened to the podcast, I started thinking:  "Wow!  I wonder who the students were at that time?  Lincoln was all male, sequestered in the back woods of Pennsylvania, off the beaten track to shield them from the KKK and other predatory whites.

But these students were in New York City; a whole different environment - theoretically.  Who were the alumni back then?  What did the campus look like?  Who was the president?  For those of us who attended Lincoln, we're doing a mental rewind to get a feel for the atmosphere and the challenges our fellow alumni had to endure Black in the day.
