SATURDAY, JUNE 15TH IS THE GERMANTOWN JUNETEENTH FESTIVAL ON GERMANTOWN AVENUE - AND FOLLOWING THAT, LINCOLN UNIVERSITY ALMUMNI ASSOCIATION IS HOSTING THEIR ANNUAL FISH FRY AT GERMANTOWN AND CHELTEN AVENUES - RIGHT DOWN THE HILL AND AROUND THE CORNER, FEATURING GOOD FOOD, GOOD MUSIC, GOOD COMPANY AND GOOD FEELINGS!!!

Last week I loaded you up with about thirty things to do between May 1st and May 18th - from New York to New Jersey, Philadelphia, and DC! 

However, one event is a stand alone. 

I wanted to make sure you understood the magnitude of this event, and that you were fully prepared to take advantage of it!

Yes! Once again Lincoln University's Philly Alumni Chapter is sponsoring sumptuous fish and all the good stuff that goes with it for a mere $15.00 per person - the proceeds of which go to scholarships for Lincoln Students and potential Lincoln Students!!

After running errands, shopping, taking the kids to their different activities, you should do something nice for yourself - come check out out fish fry!

What a great pre-Mother's day gift!!

Of course you can do take out, but you'll want to stay for the live music and dancing!

EVENT ALERT: LINCOLN UNIVERSITY PA VIRTUAL WALK/RUN SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER - SUNDAY, MAY 25, 2014

Hello All:

Last year for the first time in its 160 year history, Lincoln University sent home 300 students because they did not have the financial wherewithal to attend college and get a much needed and deserved education.

We are determined that that will never happen again, and are sponsoring the Lincoln University of PA VIRTUAL WALK/RUN 2014. With your help, contributions, participation and support, we can help the students return to Lincoln, and guarantee that those students who desire to attend and are otherwise qualified will also be able to get their degree and make their contribution to society.

All proceeds benefit the Students First Campaign. A virtual walk/run event allows you to participate anywhere you are.  You can walk/run outside in your community, use a treadmill or with a group of people. You choose the location and pace you want.  You can walk/run with a team in your local community at a predesignated location.  Each participant will recieve a virtual badge to display on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Schedule of Events: Anytime between 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. 9:00 a.m. Registration (applies to Team Participation only) 10:00 a.m. Begin walk/run 2:00 p.m. End walk/run The Students First Campaign is an endowment fund which supports both merit and need-based student scholarships and ends June 30.  Dr. William (Bill) Cosby serves as the general chair.
