EVENT ALERT UPDATE: Rev. Al Sharpton to participate in the funeral services of two SC victims Thursday, June 25

Just a brief update on this sad and tragic occasion.  The Rev. Al Sharpton will be participating in the upcoming funerals of two of the victims on Thursday, June 25 in Charleston, SC.  

Peace be unto them and condolences to the families, friends, associations, congregation, and the city of Charleston for such a great and tragic loss.

NEW YORK – Tomorrow, in South Carolina, Rev. Al Sharpton, president and founder of the National Action Network, will be participating in the funeral services of Ethel Lance and Rev. Sharonda Singleton, two of the nine victims of the tragic shooting that occurred at Mother Emanuel AME Church last Thursday night. Rev. Sharpton, will also be attending the funeral service of State Sen. Clementa Pinckney on Friday where President Obama will eulogize the slain South Carolina leader. Rev. Sharpton worked closely with State Sen. Pinckney on a number of issues, including, most recently, helping to bring the community of North Charleston together following the tragic killing of Walter Scott at the hands of a North Charleston police officer.
