Hello All:

As a fan of Tyler Perry's I think it only fair to warn you that as of June 25, no one is allowed to call me on Wednesdays at 9:00 PM.  I will definitely be sitting front and center for the all new episodes of LOVE THY NEIGHBOR on OWN.

I am so glad to have quality Black situation comedy back on TV, alive and in living COLOR, if you get my drift - and as loyal as I was to the Cosby Show, A Different World,  My Girlfriends, and EVE, My Wife and Kids, The Wayans, Let's Stay Together, House of Payne, Meet The Browns, as well as the many old school shows that have now become classics - Sanford & Son, Good Times, Living Single, etc. - that's how much I treasure his comedic writing and performers of this show.

But, then I'm a fan of practically everything Tyler Perry does or has done (or will do); and I'm most definitely a long time fan and supporter of Oprah Winfrey.  I am pleased that they have meshed their considerable talents and personas to make this a wonderful collaboration indeed - and we are the winners for it.  (Maybe others of us can learn from this wonderful example of what we can do when we work together, as opposed to competing with each other).

Now I could have rewritten the press release that I just received;  but I think that it would be a disservice to you to do so. You're too sophisticated and aware for me to just write some hype. Besides, you need to be aware that we as an audience are making a difference in quality Black TV Programming.  The stats speak for themselves.   So we can definitely pat ourselves on the back.

It also speaks to those who say you no longer watch TV because the shows are largely garbage - this high quality situation comedy (aka SitCom) more than makes up for what you've had to endure with lesser quality programs.

So, that said, I'm sharing a blurb that I received recently about the upcoming episodes of LOVE THY NEIGHBOR, and a preview clip.  Check this out and you might just want to check them out, and become a fan as well.
