And for the brothers who have likewise stood up, they have developed a special category - THE GOOD BROTHERS' AWARD - to show their respect and gratitude for all they have done.

have all been shocked and saddened by the announcement of the passing
of Michael
K. Williams, the phenomenal actor who was scheduled to receive their
2021 Good Brother Award. He had just recorded his acceptance remarks
for the event; and they are so touching, they
will include them in the upcoming NCBW Awards Ceremony program this

Vision
To build a network of women of color in leadership, sustainable entrepreneurship and civic engagement while increasing access to technology and building social enterprises that eliminate gender and racial bias.
Mission
Identify and conduct leadership opportunities for members who are aspiring leaders.
Encourage
Black women to engage in non-partisan leadership activities within the
educational, economic, social and political arenas; take leadership in
telling our stories that are powerful stories.
Provide training and internships at the national, state and local levels to enable members and young people to gain the knowledge required to understand, operate, and participate within the educational, economic, social and political arenas.
Increase the number of Black women who participate in leadership positions in all areas of the community that impact their lives and the lives of their families.
Engage Black women in voter registration, political education, forums and seminars to better project their concerns in the public arena.
Develop and advocate public policy positions, which advance the educational, economic, social and political interests of Black women, their families and communities.
Participate in the development of policies, platforms and strategies of political parties that address the needs and aspirations of the Black community; encourage the parity appointment of Black women at all levels of the party structure.
Engage in research and fact-finding on critical
issues uniquely affecting the quality of life of
Black women.
Sponsor youth leadership institutes to prepare
young people to practice good citizenship and
to assume leadership roles in public service.
Improve and enhance conditions regarding
women's health.
Where We Make A Difference
Education
Our mission is to empower all students to apply their acquired skills and knowledge, and to rely upon their personal attributes to lead productive lives and to become contributing members of the global community. We accomplish our objectives through our College for Kids, College for Teens and Young Ambassador programs.

Women's Health
Our mission is to improve overall health for women of color, their families, and their communities by serving their needs through our "Nature's Pantry" agricultural program, our "Mental Health Awareness" Collaborative and our "People with Disabilities" program. Our goal is to heal, prevent and proactively address the physical, emotional and mental wounds of circumstance in ALL communities beginning with our own.

Women's Advocacy
Our mission is to promote women's leadership in business, politics, military service and community awareness. We encourage entrepreneurship, voter registration, training and internships at the national, state and local levels to enable members and young people to gain the knowledge required to understand, operate, and participate within the educational, economic, social and political arenas.
We advocate for the safety of all women regarding human trafficking.
