WHAT OPPOSITION
IN THE FACE OF OPPOSITION
THE PRESENCE OF A WALL
THE BARRIERS ON THE ROAD
THE HURDLES ON THE TRACK
THE GREAT GULF BETWEEN US
WE MUST RISE ABOVE
WE MUST LEAP ACROSS
WE MUST OVERCOME
NO ONE CAN DO IT LIKE WE CAN
WE’VE DONE IT BEFORE
NO ONE HAS OUR WINGSPAN
NO ONE CAN FLY AS HIGH
WE CAN RIDE SUNBEAMS ACROSS THE SKY DO A SOULFUL SLIDE ACROSS A RAGING TIDE DO A GLIDING DANCE ON AN ICY POND
THIS IS THE TIME
TO USE OUR MAGIC
TO MEDITATE ON THE GOD IN US
BE THE SALVATION OF OUR LIVES
THE HOPE OF OUR FUTURE
THE SOLUTION TO OUR PROBLEMS
WE’VE GOT THE POWER
ALL WE’VE GOT TO DO IS WORK TOGETHER HARMONIZE LIKE THE TEMPTATIONS
RECREATE PYRAMIDS LIKE EARTH WIND AND FIRE FUNK IT UP LIKE JAMES BROWN
MOONWALK TO FREEDOM LIKE MICHAEL JACKSON BE A LOVE SONG LIKE WHITNEY AND LUTHER KNOW WHAT’S GOIN ON LIKE MARVIN
RECOGNIZE THE KEYS OF LIFE BY THE WONDERMAN BE YOUNG GIFTED AND BLACK LIKE NINA SIMONE THIS IS THE TIME TO ROCK NON STOP
