Well, the maggot magas have gone from bad to worst to "worssuh!!"
They brought on the most rightwing nut of all times - who can smile in your face while twisting the knife, talk about praying to God while transgressing against you and not raising a brow.
If this doesn't teach you about the seriousness about voting and keeping the high watch, this recent clown show and the fact that they chose a plus ultra racist to be the speaker of the house should be an indication that we have to double down on all our rights, tactics, unification, or we will literally be walking in chains - again.
In the 2022 midterms we delivered the goods with a majority in the Senate. We stepped up and we were absolutely awesome - ensuring that Hershel Walker did not get in and become the automaton they wanted him to be. I am so proud of our turn out and turning the ship around in our favor. We have much to be proud of in holding that line.
But, while we were focusing on the Senate, the House managed to squeak through with the barest of margins - but squeak by they did. Then they literally beat each other to death to get Kevin McCarthy as the ersatz Speaker of the House. He literally sold his soul to the devils in order to finally get the title. While they were going through practically beating each other to death, America had to wait for them to get down to the business they were elected for - taking care of the American People's business. It was a contentious House at best, with right wingnuts like Marjorie Taylor Green, Matt Gaetz, and others always coming up with some off the chain hair brained concept. The most recent and dangerous was their effort to blackmail President Biden into neglecting the will of the people, or they would tighten the purse strings, shut down the government, block payments to Social Security, Welfare, Medicare and Medicaid, and all of the other benefits that Americans need and rely on - in order to line the pockets of their cronies. President Biden would not back down - but negotiated a bi-partisan agreement to keep the government open, alive and thriving.
The maggot reporters hammered at Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre asking the same stupid questions over and over as to whether or not President Biden would back down or renegotiate and already negotiated bi-partisan agreement. They were planted in the press conferences by Fox faux news, News Maxx, and other rightwing mouthpieces to try to make it look as if it was the President's responsibility to cave in and make concessions that would cause considerable harm to America's middle and lower economic classes - not to mention the military, those on disability, etc. They were holding America psychologically hostage with the brinksmanship of everything being cut off to such an extent that many of my friends, who are usually grace under pressure were snapping at me about the impending shutdown.
I, on the other hand, wondered whether all of the Repuglycon's constituents were just the super rich - whether or not those people from the backwoods of Georgia, Pennsylvania, Appalachia, trailer parks, and the armpits of America that stormed the Nation's Capitol were also going to affected as well - and how they would feel when they couldn't get food stamps, medicaid, Obamacare, Social Security, disability, etc. I wondered if those people would continue to vote for them if they were instrumental in cutting off their benefits. I also wondered what the rationale would be when they tried to explain that the Koch brothers, Heritage Foundation - and all those who were filing zero taxes - came before them. Would they vote for them once they knew they were the ones who were throwing them under the bus.
Like it or not, even Kevin McCarthy has to be given some credit for having some semblance of compassion - because he put a halt to the madness saying he couldn't imagine telling the troops in the various branches of the Armed services that they weren't going to get paid. I wonder what would have happened had the Secret Service not received their salaries - what about the various guards positioned around The Rayburn Building? Who's going to look out for the House of Misrepresentatives when they so callously block the necessities people work so hard for. His "compassion" sent the sadistic maga maggots foaming at the mouth - he had cheated them of being able to feel some perverse sense of power by depriving people of their rights and watching them suffer.
So now a total right wing nut from Louisiana - who Roland Martin just described as one of the most racist states in the Union - is now the Speaker of the House? Seriously?? How disgusting!
I truly pray that Johnson's got some sort of come to Jesus revelation about what his real responsibilities are vis a vis America, and not currying the favor of his cronies - of whom at least 50% are total nut cases. In fact, I think it should be mandatory that everybody in Congress - regardless of how long they've been there - be subjected to a comprehensive psychological exam in order to detect latent or blatant insanity. And if they're either psychopathic (MT Green), or pathological (M Gaetz), or a crook and a liar and a psychopath (G Santos), they have to be removed immediately - if not sooner.
Sadly the ersatz Repuglycons didn't have the balls to back HAKEEM JEFFRIES* as speaker - even though they knew he was the best and most balanced choice for conducting the business of the Congress! Sitting there with their yellow stripes down rheir backs, knowing full well their actions are doing irreparable damage to their constituents as well as to the nation.

This Speech sounds REALLY GOOD on ALMOST "EVERY" point, but let's see if the INSURRECTIONISTS will allow him to actually Govern in a SANE way
