Hello All!

The Subprime Court has assumed the role of dictator, instead of the arbitrator for justice. Over the past seven years they have become more and more aggressive in usurping the rights of Americans.  Sadly, this is nothing new, if you look at the history of the Subprime court from the 1800s.  Remember they handed down the Dred Scott Decision, handed the presidency to Bush, even after it was clear that ballots had been deliberately destroyed in Florida; as well as the myriad other decision that kept Black people enslaved, pushed Native Americans off their lands, and recently deprived us of our right to vote, and women of their right to choose.  They are literally off the chain and are in violation of the very constitution they are supposed to uphold and protect.

Basically, the Supreme Court morphed into the subprime court after the death of Thurgood Marshall.  The slippery slope became even more slippery when time came to replace Marshall - they initially considered Bork - which drew vehement opposition from African Americans, who wanted/demanded a Black person replace Marshall, who was the first - and only Black justice - that is until Kitanji Brown-Jackson.  Knowing there would be pushback, they then nominated Clarence Thomas (uncle thomas clarence).  What a trick bag! They knew what we didn't - he was the direct antithesis of Thurgood Marshall - a slap in the face of Black people, and their revenge for all the good Marshall had been able to do during his years on the bench.

There appears to be collusion between the Subprime Court, T-rump, and the repuglycons - with us caught in the snares.  Interestingly, there appears to be no laws governing those who are put in place to protect America's constitution.  They have flagrantly violated the Constitution, and are now powerhungry - doing the bidding of maga maggot T-rump and their billion dollar underwriters.  There has to be a lot of money to get someone to blatantly undermine the constitution without fear of retribution.  And America itself is on the chopping block.

We cannot afford to sit idly by why they drag the country to pre-civil war days.  It's up to all Americans to deal with this existential threat to our country!

Please be advised that, to the extent possible, I will be alerting you to any and all opportunities, options, events, that have bearing on our future existence as a people - regardless of whether you are Democrat, Repuglycon, Independent, WPP!  There is no way party politics can divide us when it comes to the future existence of our country.  There has to be a return to ethics.  The love of our country has to take priority over destruction our future.  Anyone who sees this as a desirable outcome, has neglected to factor in the future of y/our families.   Big business and deep pockets who are doing the manipulation for their own pockets have already bunkered themselves in distant countries, so when the demise happens, they will be somewhere sunning themselves while America faces the combined threats of climate change, civil war, privations, starvation - all engineered to continue lining their pockets, while  apparently remaining "above the law."  But, if what we've been taught, no one is above the law - not the ersatz President, nor the Subprime Court Injustices.

Digital Roundtable: The Supreme Court’s Attack on Effective Governance
event flier

In its next term, the Supreme Court will hear a series of four cases that seek to weaken the administrative agencies that enforce countless critically important federal laws, including laws that ensure our food, medicine, and cars are safe, laws that protect our air and water from pollution, and laws that protect consumers from unfair, deceptive, or abusive practices in the financial markets.

Join Just Majority on tomorrow at 2PM ET for a conversation with experts from Public Justice, Student Borrower Protection Center, League of Conservation Voters, and American Constitution Society to discuss the history of this attack on the administrative state, what this term’s cases could mean for its future, and how the Court’s decisions could make it nearly impossible for Congress to address such crucial issues as climate change, immigration, and health care.

Our democracy must advance fairness, justice, and equality. At its best, the Supreme Court has defended these ideals, but we can no longer ignore that it has become too political and too powerful.

An unaccountable, unethical majority on the Supreme Court is behaving as if the rules don’t apply to them. We’ve seen a barrage of ethics scandals, from the rising influence of special interest donors to justices ignoring clear conflicts of interest and ruling in cases even when their spouses stand to directly benefit.

Partisan justices are basing their decisions on politics and not the law. They have stripped women of the right to make the most important decisions of their lives. They are granting guns more rights than our kids, ripping voting rights to shreds, and ruling in lockstep with the rich and powerful.

It’s time for checks and balances to restore our democracy. Our Constitution gives Congress the ability to check the Supreme Court’s power, including by passing a law to change its size. Adding more justices would not only restore balance to the Supreme Court, it also would restore balance between our three branches of government.

Fairness, not partisanship, must dictate what’s right, but this Court is taking advantage of a stacked deck to unleash deeply unpopular, illegitimate rulings opposed by the American majority. If we let the status quo stand, our kids will have fewer and fewer rights than we did.

It’s time for a national conversation about adding justices so the Court can once again advance justice and equality. If that means expanding the Supreme Court, so be it.
