Hi Brooklyn,
Our
temperatures might still be chilly, but spring is in the air! I look
forward to sharing more details on our warmer weather programming and
events soon. Until then, we're making sure to stay busy!
Tonight at 6 PM, join us in person at Brooklyn Borough Hall for a Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) hearing.
We'll be discussing the 7120 New Utrecht Avenue Rezoning and Kings
Highway Self-Storage. For timely consideration, comments must be
submitted to testimony@brooklynbp.nyc.gov no later than Friday, March 24, 2023.
Then, this Thursday,
March 23, 2023, from 6 PM to 8 PM, NYC's Department of Health's will
present about its Rat Academy at the Brooklyn Public Library - Central
Library at Grand Army Plaza.
Join us in person to learn about resources available for safe and
effective methods for rat prevention in homes, buildings, and
communities. Additional resources will be available after the
presentation through other local community-based organizations. The
Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs will provide interpretation services
in Mandarin, Spanish, and Yiddish. RSVP for the information session at bit.ly/BK-BP-Rat-Academy.
Next week, on Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 6 PM to 8 PM, please join us at our Women's History Month celebration at Brooklyn Borough Hall.
During this event, we'll be "Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories"
through partners at the Brooklyn Comedy Collective and the Laundromat
Project. RSVP for the event at bit.ly/Womens-History-Month-Celebration-2023.
As
always, don't forget that our constituent affairs team is here to help
with any issues you might be facing. We’re available for walk-ins every
Wednesday from 9 AM to 3 PM at Brooklyn Borough Hall. We’re also
reachable by phone (718) 802-3700 or email: AskReynoso@brooklynbp.nyc.gov.
Don’t forget to spread love. It’s the Brooklyn way!
Antonio Reynoso
