I pray that you are all well, safe and healthy during this dual tragedy of a pandemic and a predator in chief who has fomented an attack on the white house, a near

civil conflagration, and other egregious acts of treason.  Aren't you glad you elected Jumaane Williams as your public advocate to provide compassion, service, and representation for all New Yorkers?  And now that we finally have elected Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as president and vice president, his effectiveness will increase exponentially. It is essential that he is re-elected to finish the good work he started.  Your support and backing are needed now, more than ever.   As with the pivotal tidal wave of turn out in Georgia, New Yorkers can do the same - GDW 

Hello All: Let me introduce myself. I’m Patricia Williams, the proud mother of Jumaane Williams. My son is up for re-election this year. He has a fundraising deadline tomorrow night and is $9,472 from reaching his goal. Can you help Jumaane continue his passionate fight as New York City’s Public Advocate and donate to his campaign today? As a mother, it was important to me to instill a sense of justice and the importance of activism in my children. Jumaane was shown the importance of activism at a young age – I took him and his sister to marches in support of Nelson Mandela when they were kids. I also remember the first march I attended with Jumaane in Brooklyn after a black family’s house in Canarsie was burned down. I knew bringing Jumaane with me to that march was the right thing to do, and Jumaane has been advocating for Black families in New York ever since. I would have preferred for Jumaane to become a lawyer, but I can’t say I’m surprised that he didn’t. As I see Jumaane remind so many people – change starts with organizing your neighbors, your block, your city. That’s what Jumaane’s been doing his entire life. Even though I worry about him most days, I’m proud that he takes a stand against injustice and inequity and refuses to back down from even the most daunting challenges. He certainly has his work cut out for him, but there’s no better person to stand up for all of us when the stakes are this high. But now Jumaane needs our help. Tomorrow at midnight he has an important fundraising deadline. The contributions that we give – right now – will help him to get on the ballot and win re-election this year. There’s not a moment to lose. I’m proud to be Jumaane’s mom and also his constituent and I want to keep it that way. Can you chip in TODAY to help Jumaane reach his goal?
