Gloria Dulan-Wilson is originally from Oklahoma City, OK, and from age 10 was involved in Civil Rights demonstrations - sitting in, kneeling in, praying in, and going to jail on several occasions in then segregated state, under the mentorship of Clara Luper. She participated in the first voter registration of African Americans in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area after President Lyndon Baines Johnson signed the voting rights act of 1965, and has been voting ever since.  Ms. Wilson worked in presidential campaigns for Rev. Jesse Jackson in 1984 and 1988;  Mayor David Dinkins, Bill Clinton, Al Gore,  Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton.  As a photo journalist, she's covered the Congressional Black Caucus from 1985 to the present;  the Black and Puerto Rican Caucus in NYC from 1985 to 2015; and the historic Democratic National Convention in Denver, CO, Charlotte, NC, Philadelphia, PA  She was feature writer for three major New York based Black publications - The Daily Challenge News, The New York Beacon and Our Time Press; and currently has her own blog, ECLECTICALLY BLACK NEWS BLOG which is now in its 11th year.  She's interviewed elected officials, including Pres. Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Congressman Charles Rangel, John Lewis, Marcia Fudge, Diane Watson, Maxine Waters, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (when he was secretary of HUD), former NY Mayor David Dinkins, Bill DeBlasio; entertainers such as Diana Ross, Woodie King jr.,  Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee.  She is currently a community activist focused on the liberation/reunification of African and African Americans and Diasporan Africans - and is a member of the Mayor's Commission on African and Caribbean Immigrant Affairs.  She is an avid supporter of Joe Biden for his candor and for his statesmanship, his wisdom and sincerity, and his capacity to get a job done in spite of and because of adversity.  ###
