Dr. Muhammad’s civil and human rights struggles began at the age of six when he attended a NAACP convention in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
On an academic scholarship, he attended Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio and graduated with a degree in Biology in 1971. In 1975, he graduated from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine and spent the next five years in training at Harlem Hospital in New York to become a General Surgeon. He has held several teaching positions at various medical centers and universities, but pursuing his interest in community-based alternative medicine, he founded the Abundant Life Clinic in 1986.
He is best known for his clinical research in HIV/AIDS and is a pioneer in the use of Kemron for the treatment of HIV disease.

Dear Comrades,
I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. I wanted to message the group about a new NYC Free Meals Program. NYC is offering 3 FREE Meals available Monday-Friday for ANY New Yorker, doesn't matter your age, don't need an ID, AVAILABLE FOR EVERYONE. Meal Pickup times are 7:30am-11:30am for kids and families And 11:30am-1:30pm for Adults but no one will be turned away at any time.
You can pick up all 3 meals at once. Please click on the link below to find a Meal Hub near you. There's 400 Meal Hubs Across the city and there are Vegetarian and Halal options available. Parents and Guardians can pick up meals for their children. This is for Pickup Only and no eating at the Meal Hubs.
