GDW EVENT ALERT: Join Dr. Efaye Williams on Wake Up & Stay Woke Every Wednesday 10:00AM on WPFW.FM

By Gloria Dulan-Wilson

Hello All:

Wow!  It's been 3 weeks already in self confinement or self quarantine - and I'm so proud of us all!  We know how to hunker down when it's necessary.  The news out of New York has been very tragic indeed, and I've been praying constantly and continuously for my brothers and sisters who are affected - that God is with them, working in, as, and through them, that the right doctors and the right medical protocols are being used and more are healed than who perish.

A special prayer and praise for Governor Andrew Cuomo who has taken this on in heroic proportions - and shows what a real leader looks and sounds like.  Interesting, isn't it?  People know it when they hear it and see it - and the more they see it, the more they admire and crave it!!!  So we pray for Governor Cuomo to continue as he brings New York through this heinous pandemic.

In the interim, Soror/Sister/Friend Dr. Efaye Williams has shared some words of wisdom that I want to pass on to you.  Hopefully they will help you get through this challenging period so you can tell your kids and grandkids how you got ovah!!!

I also want to encourage you to set your schedule for every Wednesday at 10:00AM to WPFW.FM RADIO for her show WAKE UP AND STAY WOKE - She has dynamic guests every week, covering different topics of interest and concern to African Americans and Africans here and throughout the Diaspora.  Tune in online, or on your radio, to 89.3 FM  this morning - and then set your calendar, so you won't forget.   Those of us who are members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc, want to support her, but also want you to know the concerns and concepts she covers and presents are relevant to us all.

And, if for some reason you miss it, you can log in and listen to it at a later time.

At any rate, enjoy your tips:
