Hello All:
Well, it's countdown time - less than 30 days to November 6 mid-term elections - and it's time to really rally the troops and get the job done. No excuses are accepted - it's do or die - walk your talk America - especially Black America - because we not only have leviathan n the white house, but we now have an additional subprime court injustice to back up his crap. We have to cripple him in the congress - or continue to suck wind.
I'm sharing a recent letter with you that I received from the ACLU - that should inspire you all, and be the means by which you begin to organize your community around getting the word out and the vote out.
Registration deadline for Pennsylvania was Tuesday, October 9, and for New York is October 13. So get it done. Even if the deadline has passed, it is not too late to do phone banking - either at home or as a group. You can make it a party affair. As long as you make it - it doesn't matter which one you choose - you can actually do both - as long as you do it.

Subject: How to call voters
Gloria,
This election season, massive numbers of volunteers are getting involved in politics for the very first time and taking on amazing levels of leadership. So far, volunteers like you have made thousands of calls to key states about what’s at stake on the ballot. But I know we can do even more.
We have just four weeks left to lay it all on the line. If enough of us get to work now by talking to voters and reminding them to get to the polls when it counts, we can make a huge impact on the outcome of this election.
Right now, calling voters is the most important thing you can do as part of this national effort -- no matter where you live. Can you join us by hosting a phonebank with friends, family, neighbors, and new ACLU friends, or by making calls on your own?
When you host a phonebank party, your event will be added to the map so that folks in your community can find and join it. Our team will provide everything you need to host a successful event -- a script, training resources, and the best calling tools to make an impact.
When you sign up to make calls from home, you’ll be directed into joining our National Call team -- a team of volunteers from across the country -- and we’ll set you up with everything you need to get started.
We’re calling voters in key states with ballot initiatives that could set powerful precedents for the nation on voting access, abortion rights, and sanctuary laws. No matter where you live, you can make an impact on these critical issues. Calling works, and we’ve got the tools and resources to make calling easy, effective, and even fun.
So far, it looks like tons of people are getting involved. But if too few people talk to voters in this period when voters are making up their minds about what to vote for or whether to vote at all, much of our progress could be undone.
Everything we’ve been building toward in this election comes down to this final sprint before November 6.
Let’s seize this moment -- with all of our strength.
