Hello All:
Okay, I'm rushing to get to a business meeting scheduled for this morning - the first in a series of three in conjunction with the 43rd Annual Odunde Festival.
In case you thought it was only about the event that takes place here on Sunday with the street festival and entertainment, you need to be aware that there are opportunities for African Americans and Africans to begin and establish businesses and business relationships together. So don't miss out.
Here is the schedule for the next three days culminating in Sunday's massive ceremony and street fair. This officially ODUNDE 360 for 2018:
Business leaders from throughout the African Diaspora will be in Philadelphia
June 7 to June 10 to participate in several events co-sponsored by Philadelphia
City Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell, Pennsylvania State Senator Sharif
Street, Congressman Dwight Evans, the Mayor’s Commission on African
& Caribbean Immigrant Affairs,
and the Global Interdependence Center. A 2015 study found
that Odunde has an estimated economic impact of between $25 million and
$30 million on the city and the state, in terms of commerce between
participants in Odunde and the local economy that
generates millions in taxes during Odunde Week.
NOW THAT YOU KNOW
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?
STAY BLESSED &
ECLECTICALLY BLACK
Gloria
