Our staff and volunteers are working AROUND THE CLOCK to reach voters, Gloria. While Scott Brown and the Koch brothers let
loose a Citizens United spending spree for Senate control – we’re
reaching out to voters and knocking on doors EVERYWHERE from the
Seacoast and Manchester to the North Country. We know precisely how many voters we need to win – and we’re out there fighting for every. last. one.
Without the money to fully fund our dedicated field teams, we’ll…
? Lose votes. ? Lose New Hampshire. ? Lose the Senate.

Dear Gloria,
I first met Senator Tom Udall of New Mexico through his father and my friend, former Secretary of the Interior Stewart Udall.
Like his father, Tom has always understood that the fight to protect
our environment and properly manage our natural resources isn’t just an
environmental issue, it’s an American one.
But Tom isn’t just Stewart’s son -- today, I’m proud to call Senator
Udall one of my good friends. This year, Tom is running for reelection
to the Senate. Tom has always been a champion for families in New Mexico
as well as the environment, and I want to make sure he has the
resources he needs to fight and win.

I'm asking for your urgent support:
-- Republicans are spending nearly $4 million to defeat Tim Bishop
-- poll after poll shows Tim’s race TIED
-- and the election is only 19 days away.
Boehner wants nothing more than to defeat Tim and replace him with a
Tea Party shill. And given the staggering amount of cash flooding Long
Island, he might just succeed.
I refuse to let that happen. Tim’s a fiercely progressive Democrat who keeps the needs of his constituents above his own.
So Gloria, I need to know right now, will you chip in for Tim today? |

Gloria-- apologies for all the messages, but things have changed. Just in the last month, the number of right-wing groups spending money against me has quadrupled.
These outsiders think they can throw millions of dollars at Texas voters and buy this election.
Well, they’re just plain wrong. I know our grassroots strength will outshine all the cash being spent by dark money outside groups.
But we’ve still got work to do.
Gloria, will you use the link below to make a small contribution today and put us over the top?

Gloria, I wouldn’t email you 3 times in 2 days if it wasn’t so important. Speaker Boehner just added another $420,000 to an already massive negative ad blitz.
I don’t mean to alarm you, but the pile-on of outside spending we're
seeing could determine the fate of my first re-election campaign.
So Gloria, I’m pleading. Please chip in to our campaign tonight -- before it’s too late.

Dear Gloria:
As promised, here he is: Rep. Mike Honda, our first endorsement of the month.
Mike represents California’s 17th District, in the heart of
Silicon Valley. Mike’s progressive credentials are stellar. He’s been a
critic of the unchecked expansion of drone warfare. He’s introduced bill
after bill promoting science education, including efforts to broaden
the public’s knowledge of climate change. In 2010 he pushed for
including a public option in the ACA, and has fought to expand the law
ever since.
Mike is the real deal – which makes him a target. Mike is locked in a tight race – one of his most competitive
in years – and he needs our help. Mike's opponent is supported by
corporate billionaires and Republicans. We need a fighter for
progressive values who's supported by the people.

DEMOCRATIC CATASTROPHE democrats@thehousemajoritypac.com via bounce.bluestatedigital.com We thought we accounted for every possible
contingency. We thought we accounted for everything the GOP could do.
But we didn’t plan for Karl Rove. His latest attack could spell disaster for Democrats. And if Rove sees
that we’re not going to be able to match his buy when our FEC deadline
hits tonight at midnight, he could double down.

UPDATE: Win for Texas Women

Dear Gloria,
We all remember that night in June, over a year ago, when the fight for
the health care rights of Texas women came front-and-center.
For thirteen hours I stood on the floor of the State Senate -- and I
didn’t stand alone. Women from all corners of Texas, and all walks of
life, stood with me in Austin. Hundreds of thousands more stood with us
in homes across the country. That fight has made it all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. And yesterday, women in Texas scored a small -- but vitally important -- victory.
The Court recognized that deeply personal health care decisions should
be made by a woman, with the guidance of her family and her doctor. The
actions by Austin politicians like Greg Abbott had closed all but eight
Texas reproductive health centers, and threatened the health and safety
of hundreds of thousands of women throughout the state.
This should come as no surprise for Mr. Abbott, a politician who wants
to even make abortion illegal in the case of rape and incest. |

Dear Gloria,
Lots of GOTV operations can turn it up to 10. That’s easy. But it takes something special to turn it all the way up to 11.
Team Franken’s got almost everything it takes to crank this baby up to
11. We’ve got the people, we’ve got the passion -- all we need is the
resources. By which I, of course, mean the cash.

Dear MoveOn member: Arrrrrrrrrgh! This decision is agonizing.
We had our whole election plan mapped out. We're pouring everything we've got into our plan to save the Senate—through
a laser-like focus on our four most important states. But now, all of a sudden, there's a chance to win a fifth. Thanks to a
scandal-dogged Republican and a great Democratic candidate who's
running a strong, principled campaign, the Senate
race in South Dakota has become a total toss-up 1—and if we win that seat,
our chance of preventing a GOP takeover shoots way, way up.

U.S. Supreme Court Asked to Stop Discriminatory TX ID Law from Going Into Effect for Upcoming Elections
This
afternoon the plaintiffs have filed a brief urging the U.S. Supreme
Court to stop Texas’ discriminatory photo ID law from being used in the
upcoming elections. Plaintiffs asked the Supreme Court to vacate the
Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals decision to stay a federal judge’s
decision last week to bar the law from being implemented in the upcoming
elections.
“Texas’s photo ID law, enacted with a discriminatory
purpose, is, as intended, the most restrictive, racially discriminatory
photo ID law in the country. More than 600,000 registered voters, a
disproportionate number of whom are voters of color, will be unable to
exercise their fundamental right to vote in the upcoming election unless
the Supreme Court steps in. This law, as the district court found, has
no place in Texas's democracy, except to exclude voters on the basis of
their race, and that is unlawful and intolerable," said Ryan Haygood
who made closing arguments at the trial and directs the Political
Participation Group at NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, the
nation’s leading civil rights legal organization and a separate
organization from the NAACP.

Gloria --
You often
read about the millions and millions of dollars being pumped into
attack ads by the Koch brothers and their network of right-wing
megafunders. What’s
gone a little more under the radar is their massive effort to overtake
Democrats and progressives in field organizing. The
Washington Post reports that the Koch brothers’ Americans For
Prosperity, “which is expected to spend more than $125 million in the
2014 elections, plans to plow more than half its resources into
expanding its ground organization, with more than 500 paid field
staffers positioned in pivotal races across the country.”1
We need to get all this crazy big money out of our elections, once and for all … but that job becomes even harder if Republicans -- who say it’s corporate special interests’ First Amendment right to buy our elections -- make gains on November 4. And especially if they take control of the Senate. As much
work as it is refuting the rampant right-wing lies on TV and in the
media, now voters will be hearing them in their communities as well --
so WE need to redouble our efforts get out our messages that tell the
truth.

Dear Friend, Roll Call recently published their list of
Most Vulnerable Senators in the country. Some of the top targets were
Mary Landrieu in Louisiana, Mark Pryor in Arkansas, Mark Begich in
Alaska, Kay Hagan in North Carolina, and Mark Udall in Colorado.
All five of these senators are dedicated middle class champions. All
five are in races that polls and pundits alike are calling “toss ups.” And all five are major targets for the Koch brothers, Karl Rove, and the rest of the special interests.Special interests have spent a combined $95 million to bring down Landrieu, Pryor, Begich, Hagan and Udall. And today, I wanted to help them all raise a combined $295,000 to fight back.

Dear Gloria,
I faced $40 million in outside spending in 2012. These five Democrats are facing more than twice that amount -- $95 million and counting.
Any one of these five Democrats -- Mark Begich, Mary Landrieu, Mark
Pryor, Mark Udall, and Kay Hagan -- could be the key to holding our
majority.
Republicans will gain control of the Senate if they pick up six seats in November
