It was enlightening, but it demonstrated the challenges our community will face going forward. Thank you for your input.<br /><br />As for Mr. Nobel, I remember my father would watch his show, religiously, every Sunday. I seem to recall there was another African-American themed show that would come on NBC in the early Sunday morning period. My older sister followed in my father's footsteps, as she enjoyed the discussions with Dr. Ben, Dr. Clark and other opinions from the Black diaspora. As a young man, I could not appreciate the show enough, because it cut into my sports viewing. However, as I matured, it began an essential part of my education, along with other public affairs shows that followed Like It Is. His death becomes even more profound in the wake of the demise of 98.7 Kiss FM. There are going to be fewer and fewer options for African-Americans to express their views on the public airwaves. Given the sacrifice Gil Noble made, it is very sad, but we will find a way to persevere. Keep doing waht you are going Ms. Dulan-Wilson.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
